It is Possible to KNOW the Unknown

Is it possible to “KNOW” the universe? Why of course you can. If we are a creation of creator, then we are a part of the creation are we not? Therefore, we KNOW all. Oh, but that would mean that we would become egocentric and power hungry and evil? Would it? No, of course, it wouldn’t but by the looking at most of our living and dead role models, people with great knowledge and power before us, we would naturally assume that it did. But it doesn’t.

Someone once said to me, “You don’t KNOW everything.” I answered, “You’re right I know little about math.” And then I smiled a knowing smile and said; “But I KNOW a whole lot about a lot of other things.” She thought for a moment then replied, “I’m sure you do.”

If we are a part of the creation, then it only stands to reason that all the answers to anything we need to KNOW already exists inside of us. The only way to access this information is to allow. Now allowing that’s the tough part. How do you allow yourself to KNOW especially when our society says: “You have to go to school for a very long time, spend a lot of money and then after years of being bored to death, then in only then will we give you a degree that says you KNOW things?” This seems to me to be an insane way to think.

It’s a machine that needs people to believe in this in order for it to keep functioning. I personally don’t. Even the New Age movement is breaking off into compartmentalized spiritual subsections of expertise and if you don’t study with the right teachers or go to the right vortexes to get enlightenment then you can’t be knowing or valid.

Here’s a simple trick, just to help to allow you be open to the possibilities and miracles that exist around you every day, which I’ve mention earlier in the book. Whenever you find yourself saying “I don’t KNOW,” to a question. I believe we do KNOW and we are taught at a young age that if we haven’t studied it or learnt it or were taught it or heard it from somewhere else then there is no way that we could “KNOW.” Whenever you say “I don’t KNOW,” ask yourself “but what if I did KNOW?” What would that mean to you? What is that you might fear of KNOWing? And if you do know the answer to things you are not supposed to be able to know about but you still do anyway the only time it gets scary is when you start looking for other people to believe in your KNOWing reality.

I guarantee the more you play this little mind twist game the more you will allow the knowing. (Hey, that’s too easy.) Who said it has to be hard? And here’s another news flash anyone who is trying to tell you that it has to be hard and you have to study volumes and volumes of books to KNOW the inner workings of spirit, they don’t KNOW. The hard part of KNOWing is allowing yourself to be all that you can be.

It’s all child’s play. (That does not mean to say that children aren’t seriously at work when they play). Have you notice how many more KNOWing children than KNOWing adults there are. Study children, they are closer to the universe, to the great KNOWing than anyone else. Keep the child alive inside of you and play with the KNOWing which in turn will allow you to be free of the “should's of life.”

Let me explain the “Should’s and Shouldn’ts of Life.”

I went to my nephew’s house for dinner and before he put the ham roast in the oven he chopped off the two ends and put it into a huge pan. I looked at him and asked why he was doing this? “I don’t know that’s the way mom always did it and that’s the way it should be done.” I went to my sisters and asked her why she did this with the ham before putting it in the oven? “I don’t know that’s the way our mother had always done it and that’s the way it should be done.” Then I decide to talk to my mother about why she cut the two ends off the ham roast and put it in the oven? “Oh, Duende’ that’s the way your grandmother always did it and that’s the way it should be done.” I finally paid a visit to my grandmother and asked her the question? “Grandmother,” I said, “you know when you have a ham roast and you cut off the two ends and put it into a pan why did you always do it that way?” She looked at me very puzzled and said, “Dear, back way back when you could only get one size pan and the ham roast wouldn’t fit because it was always so big so in order to get it to fit I had to cut the two ends off of it.”

You see that at one point in time, there are things that worked well for us as a society but as time goes by it doesn’t work for us anymore and instead of letting go and adapting to new concepts we still hold onto the old. This is the same for learning to KNOW more. It was a really good idea to get educated but now, “What you Should and Shouldn’t on how we have found knowledge may have gotten to ridged?”

Sit down somewhere and ask yourself “What if I did know?” And the first thing that comes to your head, no matter how wacky it is, will be the answer. Oh, and if you say that’s just my imagination well truthfully it is. Keep in mind that the imagination is the doorway to the Dreamtime and therefore also the doorway to “KNOWing.” The next thing you can ask yourself is “What does my imagination suggest is real?” If you are having difficulty still then ask yourself this final question, “What will it mean to me if I do KNOW?”

What if you did “KNOW” what would you be then? A medicine man, a shaman? No, it’s not it's probably the truth. We’re all the creation of creator, therefore, we are all creators. Now if you can believe this, imagine the realm of possibilities and miracles that could exist in our reality today.

It is possible, you can “KNOW.” Believe in yourself and step away from group mentality because they are absolutely frightened to death of knowing themselves.

“Heal thyself healer then you will heal others.”

How to Automatic Write

Automatic writing is a very safe process of acquiring in information from the other side/spirit worlds.

The first step is to find a quiet comfortable place in your house (table and chair) where you won't be disturbed. Then you'll need 2 good pens that flow easily and 2 unlined note books. Place booth note books open on the table(one on the right side and one on your left hand side) then turn the lights low, or even use a candle of light because you  will not need to see that well to write, as you'll be in an alter state through out the process. It's also easier for the spirits to enter the room if the light is not as bright. Place both pens down on the right and left opened note books.

Now I the next step is to bring your body into an ready state to begin. Meditation is ideal for this process. Meditate from 20min minimum to 60 min maximum. I always start with a pray of intention and when I say a pray I mean what ever suits you and who you are. I have a non-denominational prayer and it goes something like this:

"Oh Great Spirit, Grandmothers and Grandfarthers, Mother Earth, Farther Sky, Please help me to be clear and keep me in my heart and integrity in what am about to do today, bless me and watch over me as I begin to Automatic Write. Have my Ancestors come to look over me, in a good way. And ask the Angels and other spirits to come with ease and care with respect of who I am. Allow me to ask the questions and answer them easily and in a good way. Thankyou Creator."

Begin to Meditate by breathing 4 seconds in through the nose, 8 seconds out of the mouth, then 4 in through the nose (into the belly deep and long) hold for 7 seconds then 8 out through the mouth making a sounds as you do this. Repeat this breathing process another 3 times. You have brought your heart rate down and you're ready to meditate.

Try this basic how-to technique, adapted from Meditation for Dummies by Stephan Bodian:
  1. Sit comfortably on a cushion or a chair. Don't slouch, but your back doesn't need to be ramrod-straight either. At first, you may want to try sitting against a wall to support your back. Use extra pillows under your knees or anywhere else to make you comfortable.
  2. Try lying down, if sitting to meditate is unappealing. Miriam Austin, author of Meditation for Wimps, recommends lying on the floor with your calves and feet resting on a chair seat. You can always sit up later.
  3. Put on music, if that helps to calm you before beginning to meditate. Turn it off once you begin.
  4. Set a digital (non-ticking) timer. Start with five minutes and work your way up to 10, then 15, and eventually 20. It will probably take weeks or months to lengthen the time you practice. Try not to put yourself on a schedule. Whatever your pace, it's fine.
  5. Breathe normally through your nose, with your mouth closed. Your eyes can be open or closed. Focus on the breath moving in and out of your nostrils, or on the rise and fall of your belly.
  6. When you notice your mind wandering, bring it gently back to the breath. Be careful not to drift off; this will be tempting, especially if you're lying down. While shutting off your mind is not the goal of meditation, neither is judging the meditative process. No matter what feelings or thoughts you have, simply bring your focus back to the breath again. And again.
As with anything new, once you've tried meditation, you're bound to hit a snag or two. Here are six of the most common barriers to developing a regular meditation practice and how to get through them:

Meditation Problem: "My mind races."

Why it happens: That's the way your mind naturally works.
How to work with it: Try counting your breaths, or repeating a word or phrase (such as "peace" or "one") silently to yourself. "The practice of meditation is not about suppressing thought, but surpassing it. Observing your breath is one way to approach this," says Victor Davich, author of 8-Minute Meditation: Quiet Your Mind, Change Your Life. You may want to try a guided meditation to quiet your mind and develop your focus. (Also try these meditation apps for beginners to try all different types of guided meditation.)

Meditation Problem: "I fall asleep."

Why it happens: It's a natural response when you're relaxed.
How to work with it: If you tend to fall asleep, try sitting up while meditating. "It's normal to feel sluggish when we let go of daily concerns," says Sharon Salzberg, cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. "Remember to keep your spine straight, and try opening your eyes." Focus softly on a spot a few feet in front of you. (If you want to fall asleep, try this five-minute yoga meditation before bed.)

Meditation Problem: "I can't sit still."

Why it happens: Your body—and mind—are restless.
How to work with it: Try a walking meditation: Walk at your usual pace or slower, indoors or out. Synchronize the rhythm of your breathing with your steps. Gaze ahead calmly with your eyes lowered. Notice the contact of your feet with the ground. Focus on your breath and on walking. (Bonus: Health Benefits You Can Get from Walking Just 30 Minutes a Day)

Meditation Problem: My back (or knees or butt) hurts.

Why it happens: You may need to adjust your body, or you may just be tired or restless. Remember that it's fine to meditate sitting in a chair or lying down (as long as you don't fall asleep).
How to work with it: "Just sitting still is an enormous challenge for most of us," Bodian says. "If you're truly experiencing an urgent pain, move to a more stable position. But notice if it is just restlessness and if so, try to sit with it." You also may want to try a walking meditation.

Meditation Problem: I don't have time to meditate.

Why it happens: You're busy and feeling overwhelmed.
How to work with it: You can carve out the time. Really. Set your alarm clock to get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning or try meditating before bed instead of watching the late-night news, Bodian suggests. The most important thing is to meditate regularly—even if it's just for 10 minutes a day. Davich agrees: "All you need is time and consistency. Quite simply, meditation can help you become more aware and more present. And that makes life more enjoyable." (Related: How to Make Time for Self-Care)

Meditation Problem: I don't feel anything special.

Why it happens Your preconceived notions about what meditation is may be getting in your way.
How to work with it: Aim simply for increased awareness of your breath. Try to avoid unrealistic expectations that something monumental is going to occur. Bodian says, "In some ways, meditation is like building muscle. The repetitions with weights are not exactly exciting, but you know the ultimate goal is valuable." (You can also try these breath work techniques that act as a sort of meditation.)
When all else fails, "remember to have patience with yourself," says Salzberg.
Your experience of meditation is very personal. For some people, it is simply becoming aware of the thoughts that have always raced through their minds. For others, meditating is a feeling of intense concentration, and for others, it is a deeply relaxed yet highly alert state. The truth is, each meditator probably gets a taste of each of these states—and many others—in the course of a session.
The bottom line? No matter what you are feeling, you simply can't do it wrong.
Now you are ready to begin to automatic write.
1.) Pick up the pen on the right and place it on the open note blank note book and ask your question. One at a time. Then give yourself a minute and pick up the pen on the left side and answer the question. If you are a lefty then reverse the process and ask the question with your left and answer with the right.
2.) Keep your eyes soft focused
3.) Don't worry about how it looks, try not to judge your self, It'll impede your process.
4.) Try to stay away from absolutes ie: "When will I die?"

5.) Ask only 3 to 5 questions but if you find you're asking a ton and question that's okay but it will drain you. It's your responsibility to care and respect your self to manage your own experience. Be mindful.
6.) Really think about the question but don't really think hard about the answer, trust it will come to your left hand on its own.
7.) The right hand is this world and the left hand is the spirit world and vice versa left and right depending if you're a lefty. It'll work wonderfully either way.
8.) Have fun and try not to take yourself too seriously. The more fun you're having the more will be happening.
9.) Do this whole exercise for 20 min.
10.) Remember to use the breathing exercise I explained to exit  and ending your Automatic Writing Session. The Breathing I've taught you will open the door in to begin and closes it at the end.I always do this because it creates an opening, an indicator to all the spirits that I am ready to begin and tells everyone that I'm ending.

11.) Then read what the left hand has written, you may be very surprised!
Mostly remember if you don't succeed the first time try try try again. Practice, Practice, Practice. Think you'll do it 7 times before you decide if you want to keep on going or stop.

How To Always Get Back to Your Body When Astral Traveling

Shape Shifting/Blending with an assist from Mau Ching - Wise Old Dead Elder/Spirit Guide

I talked to Mau Ching I was extremely worried about going out into the Dreamtime without being able to get back.

I sat down took some slow deep breaths and enter a meditative state/the imagination/the Dreamtime and went to visit my friend in his boat. He was there waiting for me saying nothing until we got to the middle of the lake.

“Mau Ching?” I said nervously “If I go out into the Dreamtime how will I find my way back?”

Mau Ching smiles this sly smile and says, “Become Bird?”

“What?” I was expecting him to do something with me but it was becoming obvious to me really quickly that this, this was not on his agenda.

“Become Bird, smarty pantsa?”

“Who me?”

“Of course, you don’t see anyone else in dis boat do you, smarty pantsa?”

“Well no, but…”

“Become Bird!”

He made me jump so I became a white dove.

“Very good smarty pantsa. Now fly into sky.”

“But, all I wanted to know….”

“Fly into sky!”

I did as he asked and lifted into the sky but I was still confused.

“What do you see, smarty pantsa?”

Well, I see you of course, and the boat and the….”

“Very good smarty pantsa. Go higher.”

I flew higher up into the sky.

“Do you still see me smarty pantsa?”

Yes, I can still see you but…”

“Go higher.”

I did what he asked getting more and more agitated by the moment.

“What do you see?”

“You?”

“Fly higher still, way above the clouds smarty pantsa.”

I took off, flying, soaring, higher and higher until I began to enjoy the flight and forgot all about Mau Ching and my question.

“Smarty pantsa?”

Yes,” I said in the midst of being very distracted gliding up into the warm air pockets. I was having so much fun!

“Can you see me smarty pantsa?”

“No.”

“Can you see the earth smarty pantsa?”

I nearly pooped myself at that point and almost dropped straight out of the sky. I’d been enjoying myself so much, I got so carried away that I’d totally forgotten to pay attention to the task at hand.

“NO!” I said panicking.

“What do you see smarty pantsa?”

“Nothing, just clouds and blue sky.”

“So, can you come back to earth?”

I had to really think about that one for a while.

“Well smarty pantsa?

“Well, of course, I can.”

“Why smarty pantsa?”

Well, I’m a bird and birds always know where their home is no matter how far distance they fly. It’s innate, it’s instinct, it is a knowing that birds have and I am a bird.”

“Right smarty pantsa, you bird.”

Bingo, that was it. That was my first introduction to becoming the White Bird. There is more that I will talk about later in my book. A lot more.

Hearing Voices in your Head “Are you thinking you’re crazy?” Its Called Channeling

Hearing Voices in your Head
“Are you thinking you’re crazy?”

First off, do any of the voices want to do you or anyone around you bodily harm? If you have voices that do want have you commit violence, then I suggest seeking help from a mental health agency near you immediately!

What to do if you hear voices in your head?

If you have voices that give you information that you couldn’t possibly know about, then there is something you can do to focus this gift. These qualities have been around for centuries and are incredible Psychic/Clairvoyant/Empathic gifts of a trance channel, shamans, and seers.

If you do have this going on, then you have strong medicine but it’s not an easy thing to live with. Our society has long forgotten what it knows around medicine as powerful as this, two hundred years ago, on this continent your aboriginal community in North America would be treating you with great respect and reverence. In Europe, it would have been well over 9 hundred years ago.

Here is what to do:

To help yourself to be able to live with your feet in both worlds, help other people and utilize the power of those Spirit Beings/Spirit Guide or as I call them Wise Old Dead Elders/Spirit Guides, who are trying to talk to you:

Know that being a little crazy is a good thing. Let me explain this: A person I recently met said “Being called crazy is the greatest compliment you could possibly receive because it means that people have run out of a context or a category to slot you into that’s with their spectrum of understanding.” Please keep in mind that they say this to all innovators i.e.: Henry Ford was called crazy when he told people he was going to build a machine that ran on fuel that you could ride in, instead of the horse. Imagine what people thought of Edison, or Einstein who had his own method of math, and what about Edgar Cayce the famous medical intuitive and the list goes on and on.

Don’t be telling anyone you can’t trust because they will probably try to get you institutionalized to feel better about themselves.

Find a group of people you can trust and share your experiences with. It helps to empower you with positive reframe of your gift. Instead of thinking you’re mentally sick you’ll begin to feel you’re gifted and special.

Check out your diet. If you have a blood sugar problem and its low this can make you a bit crazy. A good diet of proteins and greens will help you to balance your body and your mental health. Don’t kid yourself that the two are not so closely related, they are!

Stay away from white sugar, caffeine, and hallucinogens and become clear. Look at your emotional pain and seek help to deal with it.  The more you know yourself the more you know what’s going on inside of you and who’s who, how to tell the difference between them and you and how they can help you in helping others.

If you’ve done all that then hear is the next step but it requires using your imagination to be able to “Walk between Worlds” to enter the Non-Ordinary
Reality/the Dreamtime.

Take 4 deep breaths. Slow inhale for 4 seconds, holds for 7 seconds, and then exhale for 8 seconds.

I want you to find a clearing in the center of a forest of a grove of trees. This clearing should be at least 40 yards in diameter. In the center of this clearing you will find 13 big boulders (big enough to sit on) and in the center of that, you will find a fire ready to be lit.

Go to this place, go to the circle, go to the fire and lit the fire. Walk to the North and stand in front of the stone, facing the fire. Ask for 12 people from all the worlds from all realms to come and support you in your spirit journey. Look around and see if they are Wise Old Dead Elders/Spirit Guides standing in front of the stones facing the fire Already.

Sit down and then ask everyone do the same. If there are any of the twelve that remain standing, then ask these folks to leave the circle and if they make a great fuss then again ask them to sit. If they do not but try to insist they ought to be a part of the circle, then tell them that the only way you let them stay is under your conditions and that one condition is to sit down as the rest are doing. None of the others sitting will say anything they’ll just witness and stay silent although they want to see this occur, it is up to you to create the boundaries.”

The ones standing may even jump up and down and do silly things, if they do this then you know 100% that their intentions in your circle would be self-serving for them. Stand your ground and patiently ask them to leave, if they don’t then Wolf howl into the air three times (inside you head). This will call your pack of wolves that you run with, and they will come. You will find that they will leave before the wolves show up.

When they have left, and disappear back into the forest, call out to the forest for someone to replace the Spirit Guides or beings that have left. You will find some more Spirit Guides will come out of the forest and walk towards you. Not to worry the wolves will not frighten these beings, in fact, they may even pet them in a greeting as they go by. You will find that everyone now will sit down without a problem.

At this point it would be good to tell everyone in your circle that you have asked everyone here to help you in your walk in the Ordinary Reality and the Non-Ordinary Reality/the Dreamtime and then thank and bless them for being a part of their choice to support you.

Say, “I need a doorkeeper to sit on my right and someone to be on my left who will support me and help me to be strong and find clarity of mind to do the work of bringing through in channeling.”

You have now established good healthy boundaries that everyone in your circle will respect. The next thing to do is to tell them, “Please be gentle with me, I’m new at this, sometimes you scare me without knowing it and I need to go slowly. I will listen but please talk to me one at a time, slowly with informational sound bites that I can cope with.”

Also, “If you can also share with me through other forms of communication such as; billboards, logos, television programs, movies, and interactions with other people that too would be very helpful and sometimes an easier way for me to take in the information.”

I would work to allow them to share with you in a good way so that you can share with others.

I have been living with voices inside of my head since I was 10. They have not ever been disrespectful or harmful and mostly I find that my Wise Old Dead Elders just want to help.

I started bringing people through to talk at the age of 17 and then was taught to be a Trance Medium/ a Channel, at the age of thirty. I was taught an old English Spiritualist way which means that I sat in a circle with six other people for a year before, doing my own circles.

I have intergraded the whole process fully into my life and live with it in a Soul Mately healthy balanced way. I am of course crazy in a really good way and when people ask me if I think that I have multiple personalities I ask them first if they are worried about it in themselves (usually, it's about them not about you). And then I say: “No,” I say “but really it doesn’t matter what it is, it helps me and then I help people with information that I can’t possibly know.”

Please also remember to be kind to yourself. We live in a society that is absolute 98% in emotional pain and they are incredibly neurotic about being different from everyone else. Mostly our modern society doesn’t want to rock the boat and they just want to be mediocre aka Normal. So, if you find anyone name calling at you, smile the big smile and move quietly away and find people who support your reality, it’s a far better place than being like the rest of society that shutting its self-down.

A few stories of hearing voices in my head. This is my first encounter with Mau Ching,

The Boat

I was thirty when I had my first interaction with Mau Ching in the Dreamtime.

I was in this workshop and we were told to go to a sacred place in our imagination, in a meditation. I had seen this picture of Lake Lovely Water (an incredible beautiful Medicine lake up here on the West Coast) so I went there. And when we got there, we were told someone would be waiting for us by a boat on shore.

I did this and when I walk down the hill to the lake this little Korean fellow was waiting for me in a small modern row boat. This wizen old Asian guy carried a long pole and a bamboo hat that nearly hid most of his smiley face. He steps into the bow of the boat and instructs me to paddle out to the center of the lake. This fellow who was not so very big of stature was Mau Ching.

When we got to the center of the lake we were to ask whoever was with us, to ask them an important question.

“What about my Acting Career?” Was my question.

Then Mau Ching’s staff turned into a fishing pole and he stood there fishing. He smiled at me in anticipation as I looked on in confounded awe and confusion. Then he ran to the stern of the boat and fished from there. Then he fished while standing on one leg, then he fished facing, north, then the boat rotated to the south, then he was fishing with his feet dangling in the water and then he is fishing while standing on his head.

“Hey” I yell “What are you doing, that’s not how you fish!”

Mau Ching stops smiles at from underneath his hat bows and says:
“Ah, many ways to fish, smarty pantsa?”

And that was my answer to my question. Which meant nothing at the time but now I absolutely understand what he was talking about years later. I gave up my career in acting and as soon as I did that I became a storyteller, clown, and children’s entertainer.

Spirit Climbing

The next time I met with Mau Ching in the middle of the Lake Lovely Water I had wonder if I could do what was expected of me. I mean the sheer magnitude of responsibility of the task that I was beginning to grasp, seem daunting and insurmountable.

I was in the middle of the lake and Mau Ching was rowing the boat, and I thought to myself, “Oh no, something is up.” He says nothing until we stop at the edge of a huge cliff that reaches high up to the peak of one of the mountains around Lake Lovely Water.

Climb Mountain, smarty pantsa.”

“But, but you haven’t even heard my question yet.”

”Climb mountain!”

So, I don’t argue or say anything I just climb the mountain and when I about to reach the top, I hear my mother's voice that says, “Careful you might fall.” And in the moment, I lose my footing, I begin to fall but in the last crucial moment I save myself, pulling myself up onto the peak and who should be up there waiting for me? Mau Ching.
Oh, you climb pretty good.”

“Why thanks.”

“But what if you fall smarty pantsa?”

“I won’t because I can do it.”

”But what if you did fall!”

”I’d just get up again and do it again, and again until I reached the top because that’s who I am.”

”Right smarty pantsa.

Then Mau Ching points to a mountain not so far off in the distance that is higher.

“Can you climb that mountain smarty pants.”

“Yes”

“Why smarty pantsa?”

“Because once you’ve climbed one mountain you can climb the rest by applying the same principles. It doesn’t matter how high a mountain is nothing is insurmountable.”

“Right smarty pantsa?”

Then he points again towards the horizon and says, “What do you see beyond that mountain?”

“Another mountain?”

“Right, bigger or smaller?”

“Bigger?”

“Can you climb that mountain smarty pants?”

“Of course.”

“Right smarty pantsa. And what do you see past that mountain?”

“Another mountain?”

“No!”

“No?”

“No, nothing left but small mountains! You climb too many high mountains; you get rest from climbing big mountains.” And then as always, he laughed uncontrollably and I just shook my head and smiled at him.

Mau Ching has taught me a lot of things: the ancient art of Chi Wa and how to be a medical intuitive. Chi Wa is an ancient Korean Mystic Healing Modality that uses pressure points in people hands to activate meridians in their bodies creating a powerful release to lift them into a state of accelerated knowing, a lifting and a letting go that can only be equated to flying.

The one special thing that I’ve learned from my Wise Old Dead friend who, (was on the earth approximately 600 years ago,) is a sense of humor and not to take myself so seriously.

Accidentally Becoming A Sliver Back Grizzly

The Sliver Back Grizzly

“Go see Aunty Betty, she has the bear.” Uncle Jimmy Jimmy said in his off-handed way. So, I went to visit Aunty Betty, she just smiled at me and asked me some questions but for the most part didn’t tell me much but native folks seldom do. You got to figure it out. A friend had said to me that he wished he could come and meet and talk to my native friends and listen to what they had to say. I turned to him and explained that in the 25 years that I have been with native elders that what they told me I could put in a small cup but what they didn’t say I could fill books and then libraries with those books. Aunty Betty looked at me and said: “You very intelligent.” That what she said that day I went visit her.

Aunty Betty once said “If you see a bear, pick up two stones and bash them together. It will scare the bear.” I laughed and asked her if she ever tried it. She said, “No.” Then I giggled and said, “That’s a great thing to tell a white guy then,” We both broke up laughing.

Years later I had gone to the hospital to visit Aunty Betty she was dying, she knew it and so did I, although we didn’t talk about it. “Come,” she said, “help me with your hands.” So, I did as I had done in the past and laid my hands, palms up under hers but this time she insisted that she would be giving the gift this day. We sat together palms touching and I prayed to the creator.  What Aunty Betty was doing? I wasn’t too sure, it just felt good to be there with my friend, sharing. She died a days later.

Just before her funeral, I saw this huge “Silver Back Grizzly Bear,” behind me playing with my Totem Animal the Cobalt Grizzly. I thought who is this now? And I phoned Si’Taxulwood and told her what was happening. “It’s Aunty Betty’s Medicine,” she said. I had suspected it was and Si’Taxulwood and I talked. She thought that Aunty Betty had given the “Silver Back Grizzly,” to me so I could give it to her sister Aunty Smitty.

After the funeral, some weeks later I paid a visit to Aunty Smitty and shared the same way with Aunty Betty and I did that day (placing my hands over her hands) and I gave Aunty Smitty the Silver Back Grizzly. I had transfer Aunty Betty’s medicine and now I felt good.

Some six months later Aunty Smitty became very ill and I thought, “oh my god I’m sure it’s the bear, it’s too strong.” I went to see Aunty Smitty at her home and talked to her and asked her if the bear was too much. She agreed it was and so I took the gift back. Aunty Smitty soon got better but did end up getting sick and dying 6 months later.

Now I was with the Silver Back Grizzly again and felt for sure that I should pass it on like Si’Taxulwood suggested. I thought I would give it to her instead so I stepped into the “Valley of the Grizzlies” (In the Non-Ordinary Reality/Dreamtime) leaving my old friend the Silver Back Grizzly there to be with her clan. I told Si’Taxulwood what I had done and that she could meet Aunty Betty’s Sliver Back Grizzly and she would be waiting. Everything was quiet, I felt finally settled about passing the medicine on. I was honored to be able to be a part of the ceremony, to be able to share in that way.

I was talking to Uncle Jimmy Jimmy years later and he said to me, “If you see a bear on the path, pick up two stones and bash them together. It will scare the bear.” I laughed and asked him if he ever tried it? He said, “No.” Then I said what I had said to Aunty Betty, “That’s a great thing to tell a white guy”,” He found this very funny and we both broke up laughing.  Deja vu! I started to suspect that something was up but I didn’t know what.

Two years later I’m sitting out back of my house beside the fire on a Soul Mate summer night talking to my cousin about “woo-woo,” stuff (Dreamtime and Native Medicine) when he asks me if I can see his bear. “Yah,” I say, “It’s a great big Kodiak. Can you see mine?” I ask. “Sure, it’s a huge Silver Back Grizzly.”

So, at this point I freak. “Oh no, it’s not, it’s a Cobalt Grizzly.” He stares at me again, “No it’s definitely a Silver Back Grizzly.” “It can’t be. Are you sure?” “Sure, I’m sure,” he says “And she’s big.”

Well,” I said, “…that just can’t be because I’d lead the old mother Sliver Back into the Valley of the Grizzlies where she would hook up with Si’Taxulwood, two years ago!” Obviously, that didn’t happen and now here I was shocked, floored and dumbfounded, why I would be sitting with Aunty Betty’s Medicine?

I panicked and immediately phoned my mother (who is extremely psychic/clairvoyant/empathic) and asked her impressions of my dilemma.  She felt that the old mother Sliver Back Grizzly was given to me because I had a very kind heart, clear head and no desire for power. And she said what better way to hide something that everyone wanted but to give it to someone that no one would suspect it to go too. Then she said, “You know dear maybe you are keeping it for someone else, like the children.”

I went about trying to understand what I had been given, why and what was I to do to help the old mother Sliver Back (aka Aunty Betty) give her medicine to her people. I checked with my mom again and she seemed to think that I would take the medicine into the Non-Ordinary Reality/the Dreamtime and gift it back that way to the Co-Salish peoples. She thought that maybe Aunty Betty and Uncle Jimmy Jimmy knew the medicine would have to shift in order to keep up with the changing times in order for their peoples to survive.

Uncle Jimmy Jimmy and Aunty Betty had planned the whole thing I was sure of it and I was being Soul Mately manipulated in the process. “I was okay with that.” I phoned Aunty Gwen just to check in because I didn’t want to be “whitey stepping in political doo-doo,” if you know what I mean.  I explained the Dreamtime to her and what had happened and what I tried to do, how the old mother Sliver Back Grizzly had come back and what my mother said. Aunty Gwen said, “Aunty Betty gave it to you, she meant for you to have it for whatever reason. I think your mom is right, she’s a very wise lady.”

I sat for months after that with a new dilemma, “How do I get the bear to move?” She just sat there beside me watching me, waiting for something and I didn’t know what. Then one night I was sharing my Soul Mate Si’Taxulwood stories, wise things she’d told me and I told my friend the, “If you see a bear on the path get two rocks and bang them together…” story and how Uncle Jimmy Jimmy had said the same thing and…then it dawned on me exactly what the two of them were on about. They weren’t talking about a living bear, they were talking about a “Spirit Bear,” about a “Silver Back Grizzly Bear,” that they knew I would meet on the “path,” not the physical path but the spiritual path of life. They were speaking metaphorically. I know what you might be thinking at this point, “Well duh Sherlock nothing like picking up on the obvious!” HAHA! And I thought I was “Intelligent.”

Immediately I went to the front of the house and found two rocks that were of medium size, (the ones that felt good with my heart) said a small prayer and bashed them together. The Bear moved!

And I don’t know why I didn’t think about it before I bashed the rocks together but if the bear moved…so would I. Another part of the whole thing I’d failed to consider before I did the deed. Well of course as soon as I did the scaring of the bear, the bashing of the rocks together, my whole life changed and I became more out there and public than I had ever been in the past. And still, the old mother Sliver Back Grizzly keeps us moving.

Now the only thing about being with the old mother is that the medicine is so strong that I have to make sure I’m using it all the time or I will be in serious trouble. Aunty Betty once said to me, “If you don’t use your medicine it will make you sick.” I can hear her saying it to me as if she was standing over my shoulder right now… maybe she is. I hope so I miss her dearly.

It took 5 years to realize that the Sliver Back Grizzly had taken me deep, deep into the Dreamtime. To the point that I may not have come back. Be very careful, very few people, native or otherwise do not survive this. Make sure you have supports in place to help keep you strong. My recommendation is…DON’T do it!!

Animals They Know YOU!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS! I WOULDN'T DO THIS!! DON'T DO THIS IT MAY LOOK PRETTY NEAT BUT BEARS ARE WONDERFUL WILD ANIMALS AND you NEED TO BE CAUTIOUS. WHAT HAPPENS IS THE BEARS STOP BEING CAUTIOUS OF HUMANS AND ONCE THEY DO THAT, THEY RUN A VERY HIGH RISK OF GETTING KILLED! HAVE AND BE RESPECTFUL, YOU ARE IN THERE FOREST, AND ON THEIR LAND.

I was visiting my Elder Friend Aunty Dora (she was 80 something at the time and West Coast First Nations) had said to me over tea, "How do you feel about the Bush (Slang for: Forest) ?" I'd remembered the Wizard of Oz and quoted the Tin Man when ask the same questions "Oh Aunty, Lions, and Tigers and Bears oh my!!" She laughed at me, "Oh you don't need to worry about the animals, they know you." I smiled back her and nodded the whole time thinking, Wow, nice thing to tell a white guy. Hahaha! Seriously if Aunty Dora says it, well it must be true. She was that strong but I wasn't going to test that theory! No way. I'll listen but I've lived by the Bush my whole life and have the greatest respect for Wildlife. Thats exactly what these beautiful creatures are WILD! and I'm domesticated rural human, my experience is always always be cautious when going into the Bush, the forest the back country...ALWAYS. No matter what a 80 wonderfully wise old Native Elder Tells you. I thought to myself after Aunty Dora told me this, Well I don't have to worried I won't have to test this because I'm never in a place where that will happen.

Years later after Aunty Dora had died, I was way way up in the Back Country camping with a girl friend at the time. We'd walked down this logging road, in the middle of a clear cut (ugly mess) headed to a glacier fed river we thought we'd like to have a wee afternoon dip in. It was hot and in the middle of summer and in the middle of the afternoon. So experience suggest that most wild animals do not move around at that time they usually wait till dusk or dawn, that's when you are most likely to see Wildness.

We'd finished our swim and where quite happily walking back, hand in hand, and chatting and laughing, generally focus on ourselves and not paying attention until..we rounded the corner and coming towards us was this 3 year old Brown Bear. Now any Bear is a scare especially one in the way to were you want to go, some 20 yards down the logging road. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw us and so did we. There we both were and the Bear and I bet he was as terrified as we where. Human encounters do end well for Wildness. I think they tell eachother,  "If you encounter a human, run the other way!" We all just stood there looking at eachother not knowing what to do and then I heard Aunty Dora voice in my head, "Don't worry the animals they know you." And the Bear turns its head and his ears perk up, as if he had her too. I instantly calmed down as the Bear lifted it's paw to move, I suspect towards us I said, "Come on my friend, you heard the lady, you know me, off you go." And he did, to my great surprise! My girlfriend was very impressed, "OMG, How'd you do that!" I laughed "Oh that, well my friend Native Elder friend Aunty Dora had told me that "The Animals they knew me and I shouldn't have a need to be afraid."

This hasn't been the first Wildness encounter I've had. I've encountered Dolphins, Seals, A Huge Ass American Buffalo, Coyotes, Raven's, Crows and more Bears (I live right next to the Wilderness so Bears are very common) and they seem to know me. It's been extraordinary but I'm still very cautious and do not like to put what Aunty Dora to the test. I think its healthier that way but If I ever need help I'm sure I'll call for my friends.

Talking Stick, Sword, Didgeridoo aka Medicine Tools

This is my talking stick. When I asked an artist friend of mine to make it for me this is not what I wanted really. I wanted a small totem pole with a bird and rune symbols on it and I'll tell you why. Living out on the West Coast I'd had a revaluation about how the old shanam's (West Coast for Shaman) went deep into the dream and wondered how they got back. It's very difficult when you are traveling way way out doing inter-dimensional dream traveling to get home by way of an address but if one where to have a totem pole (all long houses had totem poles in front of them, and if everyone touches it over a long period of time then it would act as a beckon. The totem pole would be so bright from ancestral energy, you'd be able to see it from across the universe. Which is why I wanted a smaller version of my own one.

Well that's not what occurred, haha! The joke was on me. My "Anglo" Artist friend went away and came back with this carving of a "Talking Stick."* Coyote Medicine is like that, it's the trickster and in  this case I'd been tricked.

I was napping on the couch in the living room of  my one bedroom apartment and had left my talking stick in my bedroom. It was 7pm when I woke from my nap and there floating straight up, not 3 feet from me was my talking stick. I inhaled with a start and she was gone. I immediately got up and ran to my bedroom to check on her and there she was sleeping quietly.

* A "talking stick" is used to practice listening and communicating. In many Native American tribes, people used a "talking stick" to make sure that each person had a turn to share his or her ideas and opinions with the rest of the group. The person holding the stick had the right to speak.

The two-handed claymore was a large sword used in the late Medieval and early modern periods. It was used in the constant clan warfare and border fights with the English from circa 1400 to 1700.
Hilt type: Two-handed cruciform, with pommel
Used by: Highland Scots
Type: Sword
Blade type: Double-edged

I'd found this beauty in my back right down outta my spinal column. (Everyone has a sword in there back with two snake/serpent wrapped around it.) Of course the sword coming outta my back is an energetic one but what I do is go and find a real one (this is a replica).  It helps to "Pull the "Dream" which is when you see something in the dream and you get what you saw there and have it here. Of course its not the exact same one but its enough to pull what you saw in the dream and bring it here, this is called "Pulling The Dream," and low and behold the dream object is now in this reality with all its power. Once you start doing this on a regular basis the spirit's start to sit up and notice. It used to be done a long long time ago so when it happens now they are a wee bit shocked. I utilize my sword in the dream (seldom in this real time reality except for "Fire Rituals.") and when I do use it in the dream I use it more as a HEALING element than a weapon (fighting nasty business for me is a big nono, it just adds to the dysfunction and you get to wrapped up into a war that's been happening since the beginning of time. Much better to heal your foe). It mostly like a "Cadecus"* aka: A surgeons tool.

*The Rod of Asclepius symbol is often confused with the Caduceussymbol of commerce associated with the Greek god Hermes. ... In the Roman adaptation of the Greek pantheon, Hermes was identified with the Roman god Mercury

didg·er·i·doo

Dictionary result for didgeridoo

an Australian Aboriginal wind instrument in the form of a long wooden tube, traditionally made from a hollow branch, which is blown to produce a deep, resonant sound, varied by rhythmic accents of timbre and volume

This is a Didgeridoo that's made outta PVC and was excellently designed for rain forest county. I love it
It's light and I can take it into the back country without worrying about weight and the sound does not
get effected by the damp weather. Plus it is soooo not PCish.
The sound out of her is so amazing. I used to play horns when
I was younger so making her sing is no problem and then I went
on youtube to learn how to "Circular Breathe".  I need more practice
but mostly I am able to do it and being mostly successful.

I love instruments like this one and my drums because they open
up the heart when you play. It has to do with breathing a lot and
the tone and vibration. Some days when I'm struggling I'll pull her
out and play away and in no time my whole body is vibrating. I
Highly recommend it as a personal healing tool.
