Rabbit Hole Ramblings - Time Travelers

a) When I was young approx 16 years of age I was sitting on the back of a public transit bus waiting for it to go to the airport, were I work at the time. As I was sitting on the very back right seat I notice a man looking down the street for someone, and I instantly knew he was looking for me. I watched him, (knowing he wasn't from my time or place)for 3 min before he felt he was being watched and he turn and looked up and recognized he been busted, I smiled, a knowing smile and waved him a smug goodbye as the bus left the curb in that very moment.

b)  I was 34 at the time and was working as a one to one worker with the special needs community, in a day program. I was training a student from one of the local colleges, she was on a work placement with me. We had a client who was non verbal and in a wheel chair and we'd gone downtown to the big mega malls because it was pouring rain. We had to go a convoluted way to get to the underground part of the Mega Mall, because of my charge who was in a wheel chair. The only way to get up or down was by elevator, its all really straight forward if you're taking the escalators, the elevator system on the other hand is so higgledy piggledy is crazy but on that day it worked well for me.

We came out to the bottom floor insearch of the ice cream shop (that my client and I loved). I was searching around round for it and we were just passing this man in Phone Company overalls but in the wrong color for the company he was supposed to be working for. Before I even said a word he turned to his left and said "Oh the ice cream shop is just down over there to your left " I thanked him and move on our way. The student I was with 1 minute later said "Wait, we have to go back. That man is not who he was supposed to be." I nodded, "Yes," I said, "I know but we are not going after him....that would be bad. " She was very upset. "You don't understand that man  doesn't belong here!
" I stopped and addressed her "Yes I know, I know what you're feeling, and you're right, but trust me that would be bad if we followed him and stopped him." She accepted my knowing and we carried on our way.

I suspect he new we where supposed to be on the bottom floor that day, but what he didn't know is that we had to access the bottom floor not by the escalator but by the elevator because of my special needs charge who was wheel chair bound.

c) The other night, I was woken up from a deep sleep, by the sounds of heavy military boots walking down the hall to my bed room. As he entered my room I realized he didn't open the door, ( I had put blockers, made outta cement, they were small animals to decorate gardens but they make excellent door stops for my cats) so I didn't hear the cement stoppers drag across the floor. He walk right up to my bed and looked at me and I woke up and looked at him. Then it felt like he'd approved of me (or something like that because I got a benevolent feeling coming from him) and then he turn around walk I presume through my door and back down the hall.

When I woke up I asked my daughter who was staying over at my place if she was up in the night? She said "No" but didn't ask why, which I suspect meant that she might of heard the boots clumping down the hall too. It may have been too much for to go further for fear of freaking herself out. She's a teenager and is very much wanting to be normal and fit in so I didn't ask any other questions or discuss it with her further.

I'm very good at seeing and moving about in the other world spirit walking but sometimes its good to get another pair of eyes to see things you cannot, for a couple of reasons. 1) You are too emotionally close to what has happened and its hard to see more than a glimpse, but even though you did catch a glimpse there is always much more there. Good news a glimpse, or a caption (no matter how small) its enough to enter back into the event and go back into. Keeping in mind that the dream never finishes and you can always bring it back into your awareness no matter how tiny of a fractal that you end up with. 2) You are mentally block as not to be able to see further, either because of your brain protecting you from trauma or the being that contacted you doesn't want you to remember. I suspect the later is the case most often.

To get around this you need another person with the gift of the sight to help enable you to slide past the block and access the rest of the encounter. So I contacted a friend of mine, who is equally as psychic as me and sleuthed what had happened.

The man, appearing humanoid, approx 7 ft tall, anglo saxon, full head of hair (details are very important when spirit walking and accessing the dream) wore big military grade boots calf high, with an orange pair of trousers, orange shirt, with two insignia's or epaulets on his shoulders holding up his black cape. He had no weapon and had no intention of hurting me, he was on a strictly on a recon mission. He was high ranking, not that I care either way.

I have only met this type of military personal once on my journey's in and out of the other worlds, And that person again was tall but all in Black and Sliver with again big boots. He was on a circular, looking very much like a huge old wooden spoked wheel off an old wagon, this was made of metal and rotated in the universe. When I came open him he was doing the rounds of the ship, and he had a black panther by his side so as to warn him of any intruders he could not see (the Ancient Egyptians had big cats to do the same) the cat new I was there but said nothing because I did not pose a threat. Well that what the cat said.

Now why did he come by to see me? Good question? I'm not to sure the answer why, but we came up with the theory that I have just started helping UFO abductee people with there encounters again, which I haven't done for years. Maybe that was it. Hard to tell. But I suspected when I started helping this one young fellow that my own encounters would probably start happen again. I'm not concerned about this because I've become stronger and have many ways to deal with unwelcome alien guests. One of which, and they know if they cross my boundaries, I will heal them...and they know it through reputation. (All peoples, alien or other wise, across the universes, all have community and they all talk to each other and share information, spirits too).

So who are these people? Time travelers? And what do they want? Who do they work for...the CIA? By themselves? I'm not sure what I am sure is that they're real, and it is happening all the time.

Here's some more about Time Travelers, you decide what's going on.

This is the truth behind the creepy Philadelphia Experiment

The Philadelphia Experiment is one of the most grotesque military urban legends ever — and it has endured as an infamous World War II conspiracy theory. But is there any truth to it? Let's take a look.
According to legend, on Oct. 28, 1943, the USS Eldridge, a Cannon-class destroyer escort, was conducting top-secret experiments designed to win command of the oceans against the Axis powers. The rumor was that the government was creating technology that would render naval ships invisible to enemy radar, and there in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, it was time to test it out.

Witnesses claim an eerie green-blue glow surrounded the hull of the ship as her generators spun up and then, suddenly, the Eldridge disappeared. The ship was then seen in Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia before disappearing again and reappearing back in Philadelphia.
The legend states that classified military documents reported that the Eldridge crew were affected by the events in disturbing ways. Some went insane. Others developed mysterious illness. But others still were said to have been fused together with the ship; still alive, but with limbs sealed to the metal.
That'll give you nightmares. That's some Event Horizon sh*t right there.

I'll never sleep again.

(Event Horizon | Paramount Pictures)
Which is actually a convincing reason why the Eldridge's story gained so much momentum.
In a 1994 article for the Journal of Scientific Exploration, Jacques F. Vallee theorized that deep-seated imagery is key to planting a hoax into the minds of the masses and of the educated public.
But before we break down what really happened that day, let's talk about the man behind the myth: Carl M. Allen, who would go by the pseudonym, Carlos Miguel Allende. In 1956, Allende sent a series of letters to Morris K. Jessup, author of the book, The Case for the UFO, in which he argued that unidentified flying objects merit further study.

Jessup apparently included text about unified field theory because this is what Allende latched onto for his correspondences. In the 1950s, unified field theory, which has never been proven, attempted to merge Einstein's general theory of relativity with electromagnetism. In fact, Allende claimed to have been taught by Einstein himself and could prove the unified field theory based on events he witnessed on October 28, 1943.
Allende claimed that he saw the Eldridge disappear from the Philadelphia Naval Yard, and he further insisted that the United States Military had conducted what he called the Philadelphia Experiment — and was trying to cover it up.
Jessup was then contacted by the Navy's Office of Naval Research, who had received a package containing Jessup's book with annotations claiming that extraterrestrial technology allowed the U.S. government to make breakthroughs in unified field theory.

This is one of the weirdest details. The annotations were designed to look like they were written by three different authors – one maybe extraterrestrial? According to Valle's article for the Journal of Scientific Exploration, Jessup became obsessed with Allende's revelations, and the disturbed researcher would take his own life in 1959. It wasn't until 1980 that proof of Allende's forgery would be made available.
Inexplicably, two ONR officers had 127 copies of the annotated text printed and privately distributed by the military contractor Varo Manufacturing, giving wings to Allende's story long after Jessup's death.
So, what really happened aboard the USS Eldridge that day?

Somewhere in Delaware there are secret military canals that have all the answers...
According to Edward Dudgeon, who served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Engstrom, which was dry-docked in the Philadelphia Naval Yard while the Eldridge was, both ships did have classified devices on board. They were neither invisibility cloaks nor teleportation drives designed by aliens, but instead, they scrambled the magnetic signatures of ships using the degaussing technique, which provided protection from magnetic torpedoes aboard U-boats.
How Stuff Works suggested that the "green glow" reported by witnesses that day could be explained by an electric storm or St. Elmo's Fire which, in addition to being an American coming-of-age film starring the Brat Pack, is a weather phenomenon in which plasma is created in a strong electric field, giving off a bright glow, almost like fire.
Finally, inland canals connected Norfolk to Philadelphia, allowing a ship to travel between the two in a few hours.
The USS Eldridge would be transferred to Greece in 1951 and sold for scrap in the 90s, but Allende's hoax would live on in our effing nightmares forever.

Every now and then an image appears online which people claim shows a time traveller somewhere they shouldn't be. But are they just cases of people letting their imaginations run wild?
We've rounded up some of the best and most interesting images of time travellers throughout history. Some turned out to be plain fakes or cases of mistaken identities, but others are certainly intriguing.
Which have you seen before?

The time travelling hipster

This photo was snapped in 1941 at the re-opening ceremony for the South Fork Bridge in British Columbia.
If you look carefully, on the right-hand side you can see an unusually dressed man in what appears to be modern clothing, sporting sunglasses at a time when most were wearing hats and smart jackets.
Many argue this is a time traveller, while others have countered that he's simply a man with a fashion sense ahead of his time and that it's a false claim. Either way, it's still a wildly popular photo and a great one too in our mind.

World Cup celebrations

This photo comes from the 1962 World Cup and shows the celebrations as the Brazilian team lifts the trophy.
If you look closely though, you'll see in the bottom centre of the image what looks like someone with a mobile phone snapping a photo of the event.
Could this be a time traveller as well? Bit odd to think someone in the future might have a flip phone, but then they have been making a comeback recently and we know folding phones are about to be big too

The time travelling sun seeker

This image from 1943 apparently shows British factory workers escaping to the seaside for a break during the midst of wartime. The clothes and beachwear of most people certainly fit the era, but in the centre of a frame appears to be a man dressed like Mr Bean checking his mobile phone.
Or maybe it's a time travel device? Likely a bit of a stretch or a case of overactive internet imagination, but we still enjoy the thought. Maybe there are no public beaches in the future?

Mohawk time traveller

This image from 1905 appears to show the usual happenings of the time - including workers and a banana boat delivering its goods.
However, if you look near the edge of the boat you can spy a man in a white shirt with what appears to be a Mohawk style haircut. A very unusual haircut for the time and possible proof of a time traveller? Who can say?

Film extra

Film footage captured during the recording of Charlie Chaplin's 1928 silent film "The Circus" appears to show a lady dressed all in black, wearing a hat and walking around the set talking on her mobile phone.
The footage is a little iffy as is the idea that anyone could be talking on a mobile device in the 1920s, but it's certainly got some suggesting it might be proof time travellers are among us.

The ancient astronaut sculpture

In Salamanca, Spain, there's a cathedral with multiple sculptures carved into its sides. One such sculpture appears to show the likeness of a modern day (or perhaps futuristic) astronaut.
Considering the cathedral's construction dates back to 1513, people have taken this as proof that time travellers made their way back to that time. However, the truth is the astronaut is merely a modern addition to the artwork carried out by Jerónimo García de Quiñones during renovations in 1992

Time travelling celebrities

There's an interesting trend of people who closely resemble folks from a bygone era. This could just be a spooky coincidence, but maybe it's proof that time travel is possible?
Perhaps these celebrities are living a double life in another century? Here, Marxist-Leninist Revolutionary Leader Mahir Cayan who was born in 1946 and died in 1972 is shown to bear a striking resemblance to TV star Jimmy Fallon. Is Jimmy Fallon living a double life as a revolutionary communist? Seems hilariously unlikely.

A man and his mobile phone

Some claim that this oil painting by Pieter de Hooch, that was lovingly crafted in 1670 appears to show a young man holding his mobile phone. In an age where such a thing would probably have seen him burnt at the stake, this one is hard to believe.
description of the image also suggests the young man is a messenger and that's a letter in his hand, not a phone, but it's still nice to let your imagination run wild once in a while. We've often wondered what it would be like to be able to travel back to simpler times to see what life was like for ourselves.

The Adidas trainers mummy

A couple of years ago, an ancient mummy was unearthed by archaeologists digging in Mongolia. At the time, it was suggested the funky looking footwear she was wearing bore a striking resemblance to Adidas trainers. More evidence of a time traveller visiting ancient times? Investigation of the body dated it around 1,100 years old. That's one heck of a blast through the past.
However, further unearthing showed the woman was more likely to have been a Turkic seamstress which might explain the fresh kicks. She was found with an ancient clutch bag, a mirror, a comb, a knife and more. But no mobile phone.

The time surfer

Another image of an out-of-place individual that people have latched on to as proof that time travel is a reality. This image dates back over 100 years and shows some smartly dressed Canadians sitting on the side of a hill.
On the left-hand side though, sits a young man in what appears to be a t-shirt and shorts with ruffled hair. He was quickly referred to as the surfing time traveller due to how unusual his attire is. Others have suggested people in the photo appear shocked by his appearance, even pointing out the woman on the right who seems to be gesturing in his direction. Again, a bit of a stretch as would a time traveller really go through time dressed like that?

A visitor to wartime Reykjavík

This photograph apparently shows a scene from downtown Reykjavík in 1943. In the heart of wartime, soldiers and sailors can be seen everywhere in the streets among civilians. The man circled though, appears to be on a mobile phone.
We've really got a theme going with these smartphone using time travellers. Who is he calling? And how? And if he is a time traveller, why is he not in Berlin trying to assassinate Hitler?

The dabbing WWII soldier

There's an apparent theme to these time traveller photos that not only includes smartphone users, but also people visiting the second world war. In this image, a young soldier is seen dabbing, a dance move that became popular around 2014, but certainly wasn't known in wartime.
Of course, it turns out this photo isn't an image of a time traveller, but rather just an image of some actors from 2017's blockbuster Dunkirk. The fact that most of the soldiers are smiling should also be a bit of a giveaway with this one.
This concludes our list of famous images of time travellers. Which do you prefer? And if you had the power to travel through time, where would you go and would you take your phone with you?
