Animals They Know YOU!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS! I WOULDN'T DO THIS!! DON'T DO THIS IT MAY LOOK PRETTY NEAT BUT BEARS ARE WONDERFUL WILD ANIMALS AND you NEED TO BE CAUTIOUS. WHAT HAPPENS IS THE BEARS STOP BEING CAUTIOUS OF HUMANS AND ONCE THEY DO THAT, THEY RUN A VERY HIGH RISK OF GETTING KILLED! HAVE AND BE RESPECTFUL, YOU ARE IN THERE FOREST, AND ON THEIR LAND.

I was visiting my Elder Friend Aunty Dora (she was 80 something at the time and West Coast First Nations) had said to me over tea, "How do you feel about the Bush (Slang for: Forest) ?" I'd remembered the Wizard of Oz and quoted the Tin Man when ask the same questions "Oh Aunty, Lions, and Tigers and Bears oh my!!" She laughed at me, "Oh you don't need to worry about the animals, they know you." I smiled back her and nodded the whole time thinking, Wow, nice thing to tell a white guy. Hahaha! Seriously if Aunty Dora says it, well it must be true. She was that strong but I wasn't going to test that theory! No way. I'll listen but I've lived by the Bush my whole life and have the greatest respect for Wildlife. Thats exactly what these beautiful creatures are WILD! and I'm domesticated rural human, my experience is always always be cautious when going into the Bush, the forest the back country...ALWAYS. No matter what a 80 wonderfully wise old Native Elder Tells you. I thought to myself after Aunty Dora told me this, Well I don't have to worried I won't have to test this because I'm never in a place where that will happen.

Years later after Aunty Dora had died, I was way way up in the Back Country camping with a girl friend at the time. We'd walked down this logging road, in the middle of a clear cut (ugly mess) headed to a glacier fed river we thought we'd like to have a wee afternoon dip in. It was hot and in the middle of summer and in the middle of the afternoon. So experience suggest that most wild animals do not move around at that time they usually wait till dusk or dawn, that's when you are most likely to see Wildness.

We'd finished our swim and where quite happily walking back, hand in hand, and chatting and laughing, generally focus on ourselves and not paying attention until..we rounded the corner and coming towards us was this 3 year old Brown Bear. Now any Bear is a scare especially one in the way to were you want to go, some 20 yards down the logging road. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw us and so did we. There we both were and the Bear and I bet he was as terrified as we where. Human encounters do end well for Wildness. I think they tell eachother,  "If you encounter a human, run the other way!" We all just stood there looking at eachother not knowing what to do and then I heard Aunty Dora voice in my head, "Don't worry the animals they know you." And the Bear turns its head and his ears perk up, as if he had her too. I instantly calmed down as the Bear lifted it's paw to move, I suspect towards us I said, "Come on my friend, you heard the lady, you know me, off you go." And he did, to my great surprise! My girlfriend was very impressed, "OMG, How'd you do that!" I laughed "Oh that, well my friend Native Elder friend Aunty Dora had told me that "The Animals they knew me and I shouldn't have a need to be afraid."

This hasn't been the first Wildness encounter I've had. I've encountered Dolphins, Seals, A Huge Ass American Buffalo, Coyotes, Raven's, Crows and more Bears (I live right next to the Wilderness so Bears are very common) and they seem to know me. It's been extraordinary but I'm still very cautious and do not like to put what Aunty Dora to the test. I think its healthier that way but If I ever need help I'm sure I'll call for my friends.

Talking Stick, Sword, Didgeridoo aka Medicine Tools

This is my talking stick. When I asked an artist friend of mine to make it for me this is not what I wanted really. I wanted a small totem pole with a bird and rune symbols on it and I'll tell you why. Living out on the West Coast I'd had a revaluation about how the old shanam's (West Coast for Shaman) went deep into the dream and wondered how they got back. It's very difficult when you are traveling way way out doing inter-dimensional dream traveling to get home by way of an address but if one where to have a totem pole (all long houses had totem poles in front of them, and if everyone touches it over a long period of time then it would act as a beckon. The totem pole would be so bright from ancestral energy, you'd be able to see it from across the universe. Which is why I wanted a smaller version of my own one.

Well that's not what occurred, haha! The joke was on me. My "Anglo" Artist friend went away and came back with this carving of a "Talking Stick."* Coyote Medicine is like that, it's the trickster and in  this case I'd been tricked.

I was napping on the couch in the living room of  my one bedroom apartment and had left my talking stick in my bedroom. It was 7pm when I woke from my nap and there floating straight up, not 3 feet from me was my talking stick. I inhaled with a start and she was gone. I immediately got up and ran to my bedroom to check on her and there she was sleeping quietly.

* A "talking stick" is used to practice listening and communicating. In many Native American tribes, people used a "talking stick" to make sure that each person had a turn to share his or her ideas and opinions with the rest of the group. The person holding the stick had the right to speak.

The two-handed claymore was a large sword used in the late Medieval and early modern periods. It was used in the constant clan warfare and border fights with the English from circa 1400 to 1700.
Hilt type: Two-handed cruciform, with pommel
Used by: Highland Scots
Type: Sword
Blade type: Double-edged

I'd found this beauty in my back right down outta my spinal column. (Everyone has a sword in there back with two snake/serpent wrapped around it.) Of course the sword coming outta my back is an energetic one but what I do is go and find a real one (this is a replica).  It helps to "Pull the "Dream" which is when you see something in the dream and you get what you saw there and have it here. Of course its not the exact same one but its enough to pull what you saw in the dream and bring it here, this is called "Pulling The Dream," and low and behold the dream object is now in this reality with all its power. Once you start doing this on a regular basis the spirit's start to sit up and notice. It used to be done a long long time ago so when it happens now they are a wee bit shocked. I utilize my sword in the dream (seldom in this real time reality except for "Fire Rituals.") and when I do use it in the dream I use it more as a HEALING element than a weapon (fighting nasty business for me is a big nono, it just adds to the dysfunction and you get to wrapped up into a war that's been happening since the beginning of time. Much better to heal your foe). It mostly like a "Cadecus"* aka: A surgeons tool.

*The Rod of Asclepius symbol is often confused with the Caduceus, symbol of commerce associated with the Greek god Hermes. ... In the Roman adaptation of the Greek pantheon, Hermes was identified with the Roman god Mercury

didg·er·i·doo

Dictionary result for didgeridoo

an Australian Aboriginal wind instrument in the form of a long wooden tube, traditionally made from a hollow branch, which is blown to produce a deep, resonant sound, varied by rhythmic accents of timbre and volume

This is a Didgeridoo that's made outta PVC and was excellently designed for rain forest county. I love it
It's light and I can take it into the back country without worrying about weight and the sound does not
get effected by the damp weather. Plus it is soooo not PCish.
The sound out of her is so amazing. I used to play horns when
I was younger so making her sing is no problem and then I went
on youtube to learn how to "Circular Breathe".  I need more practice
but mostly I am able to do it and being mostly successful.

I love instruments like this one and my drums because they open
up the heart when you play. It has to do with breathing a lot and
the tone and vibration. Some days when I'm struggling I'll pull her
out and play away and in no time my whole body is vibrating. I
Highly recommend it as a personal healing tool.

Native/Irish Healing Drums

These are my Medicine Drums that I have for my personnel use, healing circles, ceremonies and workshops that I'll run.

This my GrandMother Nora Drum. She is 26in across, which is an very big drum with huge sound. I made her with a carpenter friend who builds wooden kayaks professionally. In order to make sure she doesn't bow like a penny we had to make the whoop with the wood going in opposite directions.  The Celtic Ancient Irish symbol on the front is a called a "Triskele" and drums this size traditionally through all cultures where usually given to storytellers (which I am). I didn't just decide to get a super huge drum that I could wow people in healing circles, no she came to me in a dream.

The Drum Sleeping Dream: I went into a bungalow house and as soon as I walked through the door I could hear drumming coming from the back of the house. When I got to the back door I opened it and stepped through into a huge tent. There were two Native American Elders standing on the other side looking at my smaller drum I once had. They look up at me without surprise, picking up my drum one of them said, "Is this your drum?" I answered quickly even though I was confused on how they got it, "Yes." The Elder held it up and then said to me, "No, this your drum!" He took his very large hands and place them on either end of the drum and pulled it apart to make my once 13inch drum into the 26inch drum you now see before you. I put the Celtic symbol to because I was looking for a way to let people know where I was from, and I wasn't a native "Wannabe". I was getting a lot of flack for having her, the symbol shuts people up, and its pretty cool looking.

This is a Kwakiut Art/Symbol of a thunder bird created and painted by a brilliant friend of mine from England. She knew I resonated strongly with the Thunder Bird and how it shown up in my dreams, and real life on the land at an old youth hostel called, "Fiddle Head Farm." I was walking out of the cook house were I was working as a line cook and headed to visit my friends at the bunk house. It was dusk and as I step off the porch I looked ahead to see this Thunder Bird (real time, no drugs) standing beside the bunk house. She towered over it, and must have been at least 20 feet tall and 6 feet in diameter. She was huge, and beautiful, wow and her energy was so wonderfully intense, she was just brilliant. I'd wondered if I was seeing things and just as I thought that thought she moved her head up and down, so I couldn't disregard her as an imagining, or a trick of light. She was extraordinary and looked exactly like the painting on my drum. I told this story to my friend so and she made me this drum. Wow!!

This is my wee drum that was a gift from a friend. I take her when I want to fly under the radar and be small. She attracts less attention and sometimes that's way better when doing my healing work. She is also way easier to take into the forest and I can pack her up and in and out with little effort.

Medicine Drums are awesome at healing the body, mind and soul. You play them for approximately 20min minimum and when you stop the vibrating of you being is incredible. I find that drumming and singing really opens up everything block in your body and helps it to let go. Good luck trying to hold on to all those past hurts, the rhythms and vibrations just move everything out of you. Highly recommend you get a drum. Wow!

Feather Medicine Bundle

This is my Case I use to carry all my delicate feathers in. I found it in the thrift store for 2$ and its really a clothes folding kit with a hard piece of plastic which works great to keep everything tight and undamaged. Side Note: I also occasionally put a cloth in it with Peppermint Essential Oil, it keeps the Moth and other feather eaters away.

These are Raven Feathers (died of natural causes) which a Metis friend gave to me. I didn't want to carry big Eagle Wings because then are more Native American Medicine  again I'm from the "Lost White Aboriginal Tribe" and I'm "Co-Palish" (I live on the coast and I'm Pale: every race has a PC name except whitey. I think its high time we gave us one. Don't you?  think reverse prejudice is super uncool) so I wanted a Feather Medicine that related more to me and the Raven, the trickster does that.

Mischievous and curious, the Raven is the cultural focus of the Native Northwest Coast People. He symbolizes creation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. He also symbolizes the unknown and is there to show that every person sees the world in a different way as another. The Raven was often called upon to clarify truths in visions, as the wise elders knew that what the eye sees is not always the truth. Many of the original peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast refer to him as a god, and it is believed by some that messages from the creator of the cosmos are buried in the wings of the Raven only to be released to the families most deserving of his knowledge. The Raven is a long distance healer and is known as the “keeper of secrets,” he helps us in our lives by exposing the truth of keeping secrets that could potentially harm us, in doing so he helps us back to good health. The Raven was only ever feared if misused. info@spiritsofthewestcoast.com

I mostly use the tail feathers for fanning when I am working when smudging people. The Wings I use as fans when people are struggling, crying (big time) and want help letting go of their pain. I'll brush them off with both in each hands, sometimes I will sing too if the person or persons are having a hard time. Also blessing water and having a bowl on hand (close by) I will dip the wings into the water and splash them on people to bring them back, (if they are having difficulties) from a very deep Dream Journey Meditation.

From Left to right.
a.) Sweet Grass I keep in my Feather Medicine Bundle to keep the first sweet with good clean energy.
b.) Is a White Eagle Tail Feather which I found on sidewalk beside a condo near the ocean where I live. (If they fall from the sky then I pick them up and thank creator for the gift.) I use this feather for talking circles and who ever holds it talks, everyone else listens.
c.) Another Eagle Feather (from the wing) Again I found this feather on the road, in a small stream of water. It looked like a stick until I picked it up. I use it very much in the same way as I do the white one expect I'll also use it for cutting (spirit attachments who are hanging on in a negative way, or other attachments to a clients ethereal body).
d.) A Hawk Feather, which I found on the side of the road(she had been hit by a car unfortunately) and I gathered as many good feathers as I possibly could. I rarely us this one but I have it just in case. Hawk are mostly about messages from Creator so I might use this one to help someone with a problem they're having about themselves or another.

These are Great Grey Owl Wings, (died of natural causes) given to me by a Co-Palish friend(he works as a garden and found her on the front porch of a clients house). Owl Medicine is very powerful and if you're a novice I recommended not using this type of medicine right away, its very intense and can help you into "Ego Deathing" (letting go of preconceived of who and what you are, this is an intense and painfull process which will have you struggle with yourself for months at a time. (c)

Owl Medicine Meaning.
In ancient Egyptian, Celtic n Hindu cultures the symbolic meaning of #owl revolved around guardianship of the underworlds, a protector of the dead, ruler of the night, seer of souls, and keeper of spirits who had passed from one plane to another. The owl accompanied a spirit to the underworld, freeing the soul from the physical world into the realm of spirit. This could also be applied to a death of oneself spiritual, of ones self as self knows self in the moment of illumination of truth of self! http://www.earthandskyconnection.com/owl-medicine/

I 've used the Owl Wings when i suspect someone is in there head and I'll brush them off with these beautiful  healing elements. Again I put one in the left hand and one in the right. I also may chant and sing depending on how deep the healing calls me.

My Medicine Bundle 2

This is my 2nd Medicine Bag (I use old doctors bag because it appeals to my sense of humor, I call myself a "Doctor on Call", well to myself, not out loud Lol). I found him in a thrift store near where I live. I think I paid 5$ for it. He's perfect and carries the rest of my Medicine stuff. I love finding and re-purposing bags and objects, to have them live again and the more I love them the more love there is in them. Remember LOVE = Powerfilled Medicine.

These are all the objects that I will use in my workshops or circles that I will run from time to time.
a.) A candle is always great to have when running an event. It brings light to the process and also helps to clear the room of negative energy. Found the candle in the thrift store for 1$. It sits on rabbit fur. Lovely soft and rabbits are playfull and its important to me to remind people (if not directly but also subliminally how important that is to have when doing the work)
b.) Kaleidoscope. Bought at my local toy store (brand new 10$ aargh but still worth it). As a rule I don't like to buy brand new however I had to find something that would describe multipule dimensions, I give this to the group and instantly people begin to realize how the universe works.
c.) Golden Dragon. Given to me by someone wonderful in a circle I went too. It is a Chinese New Year dragon (plastic) from Canadian Airlines I imagine but this dragon is a strong symbol for me and so I keep her in a box. Dragon's are great tools for Mystic's, helping to navigate the other worlds, and also huge protectors when traveling way way out into the dream.
d.) These are Moxibustion Sticks, used in Chinese Medicine. Got them from a local Chinese Herb/Corner Store hear on the coast(forgotten how much they cost). "Moxa promotes circulation of the Qi & Blood. Moxa is warming and moving. It helps to promote movement of blood and Qi so it is particularly good for pain (emotional and physical). It is not uncommon for people receiving moxibusiton to report a sudden flooding of warmth that quickly radiates radiates up the path way that  signals the flow of Qi has been freed." (this is not my field of expertise so I looked up this definition). Please read up on this before using it.
e.)Quartz Crystals giving to me by friends over the years. "Quartz is a universal stone, a pure and powerful energy stone. It stimulates brain function, making you feel more aware, active and alert in all levels of consciousness. A classic crystal for transmitting storing and amplifying positive energy"
(this is not my field of expertise so I looked up this definition).

f.) Conch Shell. I found this in Hawaii and bought him for 20$. He is a great element to have when working. One end is sawed off so you can put it to your lips and make incredibly loud sounds. Its perfect for when you're out in the forest or if you want to signal an end to ceremony. I used to play horned instruments (Mellophone and Tuba). it's Hard, you have to practice before it makes a sound.
I google this to offer clarity: "The conch shell's spiral form and relation to water cause it to represent the beginning of existence. It creates the primordial sound of "Om".  It was this sound that was chanted by Creator before Manifesting the cosmos. It represents creation and the truth behind it."
www.speakingtree.in
g.) Jade Bear. (A gift) Bear Medicine is huge with me so I always like to bring her along to hold space and protect and nourish the neophytes that I'm working with.
h.) Bear and The Universe. Made and given to me by my 7 year old daughter at the time. Power, strength in the unknown.
i.)Bird Bones. Lite as a feather. To offer lightness and help to keep it from getting to heavy when running a healing circle, ceremony, or workshop.
j.) Loon Whistle. I specifically bought this for my work. She is great to blow when people at the end of a "Dream Journey" and need a gentle prod to bring them back into this world. Works great and every one comes back with smiles on there faces.
k.) Geode or Thunder Stone. I bring her along to remind me of my "Thunder Bird Medicine". "A powerful healing stone, which absorbs and disperses negativity from the aura and never has to be cleared. Works quickly and raises the citrine's properties of clearing away blockages and healing." (Not my field of expertise so I wanted to give you a clearing more precise definition)
l.) A Green Orb. A Gift. For me it reminds me of the Mother Earth/Gaia and keeps her close, and everyone, including me, grounded. I do a character called the Green Man, it also keeps that element close and in my thoughts
m.) Deer Hoof. I found in a thrift store for 2$. Deer's are the most gentle and gentleness is probably for me, one of the strongest  Medicine Powers to have. A Story: My nephew was 3 at the time and I said to him, "Mathew?" He smiled up at me, "Yes Uncle Gong(that was he called me)." I laughed out loud, "Do you want to be the strongest man in the whole wide world?" Mathew looked at me very surprised, and preparing to listen with all his worth and delight, "Yes, Uncle Gong, Yes!" I smile gently at him and answered, "Be Gentle Mathew, Be Gentle." (c)

"When you have the deer as spirit animal, you are highly sensitive and have a strong intuition. By affinity with this animal, you have the power to deal with challenges with grace. You master the art of being both determined and gentle in your approach. The deer totem wisdom imparts those with a special connection with this animal with the ability to be vigilant, move quickly, and trust their instincts to get out the trickiest situations." http://www.spiritanimal.info/deer-spirit-animal/

My Medicine Pipe Bundle 1

To be super clear, I am Co-Pale-ish (I live on the Coast and I’m Pale which basically means I’m Anglo) and I’m from the “Lost White Aboriginal Tribe” (my people are so lost they don’t even know they’re ancestors were aboriginal). Which in the world of PC shamanism (policed by everyone including Anglo’s) I’m not supposed to have anything like a Medicine Bundle, Bag or any thing resembling anything aboriginal because when it comes down to it, bottom line, I’m the wrong color. In fact when the subject is bridged, I’m told to embrace my own culture. I’m Canadian, so as far as I know its about being nice and saying sorry (a lot) or celebrating commercialized Halloween, Thanks Giving, Christmas and Valentines Day, oh and the Easter Bunny ( none of these events even make sense to the place where you could say it’s culture, pop culture maybe, or maybe even USA Cultural influence). I even went and did a DNA test to see where my people are from. I’m part Irish, Welsh, Scottish, English, Scandinavian, (which explains the bleach blonde hair as a child) Western Europe and oh 1 % Iberian. That’s me, but if I went to any of these countries and try to claim my cultural heritage they would most likely tell me to embrace my own countries culture! Bwhahaha. So now what I'm back where I started.

In the beginning I admittedly wanted to be First Nations however the longer I was with my elder friends the more and more I wanted to know about my own ABORIGINAL heritage. So I began to hunt my Medicine line before my people (Pagan’s and Witches) where genocide in the Spanish Inquisition. You see my culture was wiped out (white man killed my ancestors toooo!) in 1487 to 1834 (No one is for sure how many were, burned, beheaded, or hung cause they destroyed the bodies or put them in unmarked graves). Guess's upwards to 3 million or more. That's after the Roman killed off millions before them. They did such a great job at genocide, that my historical ancestors are wonderful Mythical Stories and witches are still feared across the globe.

I started to dig up the bodies, my history and went hunting for my aboriginal heritage and found that I’m from “the Tuatha de Danann” in Ireland, “The Pics” of Scotland, “Laplander s” of Sweden and “Pagans and Witches” in England and the rest of Europe. These peoples are my peoples and they too where ABORIGINALS.  White Ones, heaven forbid it’s true.

I started out as most people do in Medicine Circles in North America wanting, and being called to create my own Medicine Bundle and I did. Then I began to realize no matter how hard I tried to follow my Medicine Calling Authentically I would never be recognized as a Medicine Person (Shaman) because I was the wrong color. You Laugh? Oh yah I kid you not. Can you say reverse prudence? Anyway I decided after careful consideration I would let go of anything native and find a better way on my Medicine Path. I gave away all my Medicine Bundle and swore an oath to only collect that what was relevant to me. Boom! In a matter of weeks, I gave all my feathers and bones and drums away.

Hey wait Duende, you said this was a blog about your Medicine Bundle? Haha, it is! Because in less than a year it all came back, twice if not three times as much, which was a huge surprise to me. I had a Dutch friend say to me (just recently) that she was so fed up with all the Medicine politics that it wasn’t worth the pain and anguish, she was going to burn it all! I laughed, “Good luck with that! Let me know how it works out!” She was upset, “What do you mean; you don’t think I’ll do it? I will do it!”  I smiled and said, “Of course I believe you but my friend, I’ve been in the same place and it only came back 10 fold.”

I am going to share the most intimate part of me, I’m going to share my “Co-Pale-ish Lost White Aboriginal Medicine Bundle” and all of its contents:

1.)  This is my Medicine Bag. I picked it up on "free cycle" (a sharing website) and got work done on it as it was falling apart. I got this because I'm like a Doctor On Call (that is my wacky sense of humor kicking in again) and it makes me smile every time I pick it up.

When you go to find your Medicine Bag it doesn't have to be like this. Its always good to make it your own (if you love it, it has more power/medicine). An old suit case with do, or you could make it out of deer leather (if you are an artsy/crafty type) or carry your stuff in a wicker basket. You could even get an old case and paint it if you wanted to.

2.) This is my Pipe Bag that I crafted out of deer hide. It holds two Pipes which you can see below. Deer Hide is very for giving and looks great with mistakes and all. In fact the mistakes make it look even better. I am forever tickled how many ow's and ah's I get when I pull it out of my bag. Remember the more energy, love and joy you put into you Medicine Items the more sacred they become.

3.) This is my first Pipe. I made it out of "Mountain Ash" for the stem which was growing right out side of my parents house at the  time. I cut the stem of the  pipe into 2 and put each piece in a vice and drilled a hole down the center. I used "Elk Antler" for the pipe bowl which was given to me by a friend of mine. I used a dremel (a small powerful hand held woodworking tool) to crave out the bowl itself. Then I place cork at the end of the stem to snug it tightly into the bowl. The leather wrapping are to cover the cut and the other leather straps create a artsy unified look. I put mixed feathers (its the way of my people to twined medicine powers together) and I put a piece of Jewelry on it: A gold bear on abalone (custom jewelry but I think it tweeks the whole pipe). The red are rune signs which cover the pipe, plus I twined several rune signs on the bottom of the bowl. I did this because I wanted to make it more for me and my culture. I've had this pipe for the past 25 years. The steal gold feather I won on a raffle.

4.) This is a Red Stone Medicine Pipe. Given to me by my sister who husband had been given it by two young native lads (who made the Pipe)in thanks and gratitude for his generosity. He'd worked in a 711 store as a Manager and instead of throwing out the sandwich's out at the end of the day he saved them and gave them to the two young lads who where living on the street at the time. He's since passed over my brother in law and my sister wanted me to have it. I put three different types of feathers on it (the way of my people) and I made the bag.

5.) This is Kinnikinnick a Herbal Smoking Blend (no it's not some form of wacky tobbacy) it's completely herbal and good for you. I have a friend who is a Wild Crafter (a medicine person "Co-Pale-ish" who gets natural herbs from the forest here on the West Coast) and I buy them off of her for 4$ a package. It's most excellent to smoke, smooth and cooling. You can use regular tobacco but I'm a non-smoker and always found tobacco to harsh on my throat and lungs. The red bag below was a gift from a friend. Red is a great strong medicine color.

6.) This is an Huge Abalone shell a Native buddy of mine gave me for burning my Medicine's in. It's very common on the West Coast, well this size is hard to find but smaller ones are very common to find.  Its ideal because it's hard, colorful and has holes on the side to let air flow in when burning. You can use anything for burning, a thrift store old artsy bowl, or a glass one, or even a steal feather.

7.) What you see here are 3 different types of Medicines. All very traditional West Coast Natives,  except for the Little piece of "Sandal Wood" that was a gift from a friend from South America and it's traditionally use for smudging. The other herbs are: Sage which is the wee pile of flakes off to the left in the bottom of the bowl and 2 cedar smudging sticks.

I just received this fan from a friend as a gift, the other night (feb 20/2019). The fan can be used for smudging and also for cleaning people off of unwanted negative energy. It's Hawk feathers accompanied by a small Turkey feather and the bone, I'm thinking is Elk.

a.) A  Medicine Rattle. Given to me by a student in one of my Spirit Workshops I talk in the Netherlands. Its made out of Goat Hide with hard dried beans in it to make a sound. The "Owl Feathers" you see I put on and then wrapped a piece of "Deer Hide" to hide the ends and make the whole thing easier and softer on the eyes. The stick is a stick.I'm not sure what type of wood. I use the Rattle when I really have to wake someone back into there body, or if there are crying because they are letting go of some huge emotional trauma. Most times its better to Rattle than talk. Make a sound for people and they can follow it back home.

b.) Medicine Bag. Crafted by my sister that I put my small rattle in.

c.) Stone Medicine Man Rattle. Crafted by a student of mine. She'd been told to make it for me from a spirit guide. Interesting enough it was one of the little faces I'd seen craved into the stone steps that I saw in the dream when I was vision questing 2 years before meeting her. I use this when I take people on dream journey's and I see that they are struggling, so I'll walk over and rattle over there heart.

d.) White Raven Knife. Given to me by an artist (Native) who'd seen me in a performance when I was dancing the, "White Raven" (The White Bird I made). He was deeply moved and gifted it to me. It's good to have something sharp like this in your Medicine Bundle because it represents cutting through the crap to get to the center of all things, to the heart of all things and it's also handing for cutting herbs and branches of cedar (for ceremony)when out in the forest.

e.) Red Dragon. I saw this in a new age book store and had to by it! It's rare that I'll buy anything bran new (not that its forbidden to do this but I rarely have the money to buy these things, hey I'm a single parent) but this dragon also shouted my name out loud. So I loved it and she reminds me of my dragon within. I also use her as an assisted for protection, when I pull her out she is there in her full glory.

7.) Tumith or Red Cedar Dust, or Red Sand/Dust from a scared place. What scared place and where you ask? Basically its not very hard to find a scared place, it is any where you love to be, where you are drawn to. That's a scared place. Its used as protection (and other things) by the West Coast First Nations Peoples.

These are all the Medicines that have come back to me, that kept calling me and are more relevant to me and my work. I am sharing them with you now because I'm a big believer in sharing as much information as I possibly can, I think it is very important at this time in evolution to share so that we may all be more empowered.

Thank you for Witnessing the Sharing of My Medicine it's the "Way of My People" since beginning of the beginnings. (c)

How to Stop People Sucking Your Energy

Most people are lost I suspect 93% of the population of the world. They walk around looking for the light with lost hearts. I don’t think anyone wants to take or steal or suck the energy out of other people, it’s because they’re so desperate to find the light and when they see it in us, and then they want it at all costs. I’m sure they don’t even think this way but when they’ve been separated from it for so long they become insane!
This is what I’ve experienced happening.

When we are all born into this world we all have the light in us, full, strong and brilliant! Now through life’s struggle, abuse and violence it begins to leave them (not far) and moves behind them because it’s been jarred out of they’re bodies. When they grow up and mature they know something is missing but not sure what. Most don’t bother looking for it because the Nero (Normal People) Typical say it doesn’t exist, or religion, or science suggests its all out side of them and when they meet you, or me they see a huge light radiating from us and immediately want our light and here lies the problem.

Let me give you a for example: When I was younger in my 30’s I was running  a lot  and one day I was doing so well I thought I’d run across the bridge and do the whole distance to my home, instead of taking the sky train. I probably wouldn’t have done it if I had known what was in store for me, waiting along the bridge.

I started onto the bridge and there was a spirit looking at me with this demented look in her eyes with three tentacles coming out of her solar plexus, towards me!

She was crying out, “The Light, The Light, Give it to me, NOW!!!”

I was very calm when I replied, “No, no, no….yours is behind you.” I sent her 3 out reached tentacles to the left to grab what she lost. It was very quick.

All she said when her tentacles attached to her light was, “Ho.” And then she was gone.

There were 70 people who left that day off the bridge. People who took there own lives. Don’t make the mistake and think its always those who have taken there own life are like this, most of our world is suffering from being lost, disconnected and detached from there own light. This is the same for the living, people that other people call vampire sucks, but I don’t think they are vampires suckers. I think they are people who are emotionally broken who need a bit of redirection and a wee little nudge back to there own light, which sits behind them. Always behind them in everyone I’ve ever helped. Its big and strong and bright sitting waiting to be found but most all of these folks never ever look behind them. It sounds crazy but in my experience your light doesn’t ever go away.

Here a few help full steps:

  1. Recognize that some one is, or is trying to suck the light/life out of you. I usually see 3 tentacles coming towards me when it happens and all I do is redirect the tentacles to there left side and plug them into there light, there lost and always waiting source.
  2. I go into my imagination and see myself taking the tentacles and plugging them into the light behind them (I take the tentacles around the left side).
  3. I leave them like this and it will all take care of it self over time.
  4. What do you do when the tentacles are already attached to you? Don’t Panic! And simply take the tentacles out of you and place them in the light behind the person, co worker, boss, coach, friend, partner or lover who’s doing it to you. Once you’ve done this place your hands over the holes left inside of you and heal your self. It’s an easy process. If you say “Heal.” The wounds will heal…they will.
  5. Try not to stereotype the person as a vampire, they are just in a process of healing and have had nasty violence done to them. Most of these peoples will never see a therapist to help them from there childhood trauma because of fear of dealing with there pain. If you are in a relationship with them they will project all of there on to you that way they never have to deal with what had happened to them. Projection for them is a beautiful thing! (lol if they make it about you, they don’t have to deal with themselves and they don’t have to do there own work. Pain = Fear = Shutting Down Self.) (c)

I know this is simplistic but it gets the point across.
