How to Build your Psychic/Clairvoyant/Empath Awareness

*I do not recommend Hallucinogenic for any of these exercises, in fact, it's better if you are clear headed because if some phenomena does happen you’ll blame the drugs for it happening and it’ll lessen the authenticity of your experience.

I recommend creating a ritual before each exercise, a prayer of support to the Creator (or any deity you’re happy with) to help you to be clear, strong and safe. To create an opportunity an intention for the very best to occur of the most Soul Mate part of the Mystery/Dreamtime to unfold gently before you.

Candle Exercise

You need two people and one candle to do this exercise.

Place the candle on a coffee table or a kitchen table whichever one you feel most relaxed to you because you are going to be sitting around, staring into each other’s eyes for a long period of time.

Make sure that you will be undisturbed by any form of interruption, for at least 2 hrs.

Turn off anything that will make noise and be distracting.

Leave a window slightly ajar to create a small breeze that will affect candles flame.

Light medium to large candle and place in the center of the table.

Turn off all lights so that it is completely dark. The darker it is the better so if you have drapes, draw them closed.

Sit on opposites sides of the candle so that you are directly facing each other and then focus your stare in each other left eye.

Do this for as long as possible without blinking.

Regulate your breathing as best you can. Slow inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds and do this four times.

Do not panic when you start to see things that seem different and unusual move across your partner’s face. And try to perceive everything from 20 billion-year-old perspective.

Relax and control your breathing.

Do not talk to anyone in that time. Keep silent it works better.

Take breaks every ten minutes and discuss what it is you saw.

Mirror Exercise

You need one Mirror and one candle to do this exercise. If you are a novice do this exercise with a friend.

I recommend doing this exercise in the bathroom mirror because it’s smaller and readily accessible. Also, your bathroom contains three source of water which creates energy very naturally on its own, this will add incredible boosts to your physic power.

Make sure that you will be undisturbed by any form of interruption for at least 30 minutes to one hour. Time will go by very quickly.

Turn off all devices, that will make noise and be distracting.

Turn off all lights so that it is completely dark. The darker it is the better so if you have drapes draw them closed.

Leave a door slightly ajar to create a small breeze that will affect candles flame.

Light small to medium candle and place behind you hip high if possible.

Focus your sight on your left eye when looking into the mirror.

Allow your eyes to lose focus.

Do this for as long as possible without blinking.

Regulate your breathing as best you can. Slow inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale for 8 seconds.

Do not panic when you start to see things that seem different and unusual move across your face remember to try and perceive everything from 20 billion-year-old perspective.

Relax and control your breathing.

Do not talk to anyone in that time. Keep silent it works better.

Take breaks every ten minutes and discuss what it is you saw.

Running Through a Forest

I recommend doing this exercise with two people. If you’re going to do it alone beware it may be extremely hazardous.

Make sure you’ve got a good solid pair of running shoes, with good ankle support.

Please be very careful when you are doing this. Let someone know where you are going to do it and set a reasonable time limit for your return.

The next thing to do is find a park or forest that has a path that you can run down quickly. A narrow path would be better but if it will fit two then that’s great too.

If you are doing this with someone else give yourselves at least a 30-second gap between each other.

Align with the wolf call him/her into you and really feel them there before you begin. Howling inside your head 3xs calls the pack to you if you’re having difficulties. You can howl outside too but I recommend being alone for that it can really scare anyone who doesn’t have any idea of what you’re doing. Besides who needs to explain anything to anyone it takes up too much time and really its none of their business.

Now what I’m about to suggest you might think is a mad idea but what I want you to do next is “Run” as fast as you can for 20 to 30 minutes. Pretending to be a Wolf, the more you are the wolf the safer you’ll be. I’ve done it and it is possible.

Allow your eyes to lose focus while still being fully aware of the path. Let the wolf guide you.

Do not talk to anyone in that time. Keep silent it works better.

Do not panic when you start to see things off to the corners or your eyes that seem different and to try perceive everything from 20 billion-year-old perspective.

This is called spirit running and it will take you into the Other-Worlds, the Dreamtime. You will be “Running Between Worlds.” It is very exhilarating and you feel and see some interesting things in the process.

Swimming at Night in The Rain and The Fog

I highly recommend that you do this with another person. Do not do it alone. Be safe.

Find a spring fed lake or the more the fresh water you can find the better. The Ocean is worth trying to but make sure it’s very dark, raining and foggy.

I recommend doing this in the late spring; summer or early fall unless you live in a climate where you can do it all year round.
Go into the water to how you feel most comfortable. Without clothes is the best but it’s not essential.

Make sure (this is the key) that it’s a rainy, foggy dark night with no wind.

Don’t go too deep. 12 feet is good enough.

Think of being a Dolphin or an Orca and call them to you, become them and allow them to guide you through this exercise.

Then start to spin and twirl and dive deep into the water with your eyes open.

Special Note * Be aware that it’ll be hard to know where the surface is, so be cautious when letting out air.

Always keep track of your buddy while swimming. Work out that you will dive 3 times and then meet. Do this for at least 20 minutes if possible.

Have necessary emergency equipment (rope, life preserver in case someone gets overwhelmed and is drowning) on shore in case. The more you take to be safe the safer you’ll be.

Standing in a Storm

You can do this alone but I recommend two people.

When there is a huge wind storm go to the edge of a cliff, or to the top of a hill, or to the shore of a lake or an ocean.

This can be done day or night. I recommend at night for best results.

Stand in the storm and think of being a huge bird; Eagle, Falcon, Condor, Raven or an Owl. Call it to you. Open and extend your arms and let the spirit that shows up lift off into the sky.

Stay out in the storm for at least 1 hr.

Do not talk to anyone in that time. Keep silent it works better.

Make sure that you can’t see your buddy.

Chanting and Drumming

In the beginning, you could go with another person to share the experience with.

Sit facing each other so that your knees are touching.

This can be done with or without a drum. I prefer having a drum it really helps me to release, let go and relax.

Make sure that you will be undisturbed by any form of interruption for at least 2 hrs.

Go into a beautiful nature, by a lake, or in a forest, near a river or an ocean.

Begin drumming slowly and follow your heart (inspiration or your creative spontaneity). Pray and ask creator for help.

Don’t worry about being right. Let that go. Be you.

Let your mouth drop open, let it relax and then trust the sounds coming from your body.

Find a sound together and move the sound up and down and around. It’s all about exploration. Go really high tones and very low deep tones. Get Crazy! Be Wild! Have Fun!

Drum slow, drum fast, allow the rhythm to find you.

Do this for at least 30 minutes and then sit in silence for 10 minutes or longer without talking.

Discuss and repeat at will.

Special Note ***Realize you may see things that you may not understand or comprehend do not panic just because it appears dark or shaded does not mean its evil. It just might mean you don’t understand it and it’s a little bit frightening/overwhelming to your pedestrian human self. We have all been scared of this process of learning, it is the unknown, it takes the time to grow and become strong. It has taken me time and I have been overwhelmed frightening myself plenty. If you have anything that is too overwhelming, please don’t hesitate to contact me by saying my name (out loud or secretly in your head) 3xs.

Finally, a Note of Caution:

Warning* I absolutely do not recommend the Ouija Board. I have used it and always found huge negative things occur around it.

If you have to use it or want to use it (now I’ve told you not to) Bless it before you use it. Create a sacred place before working with the Ouija Board, it is NOT a toy!

Super Sonic Hearing/Being Clairaudient, with Coping Mechanisms

Again I had a very deep conversation with a friend and was listening to her plight with dealing with white noise around her house and then I realized that I did too! I've been so just coping and finding solutions to my Hyper Hearing sensitivities that I didn't even know what I was doing, I just coped thinking that no one else was doing this. I was minding my own business doing and dealing with my own life style until my friend shared about her hyper sound sensitivity and I thought, "Wow WTF I deal with this too, every night!"

I have worked with folks with Autism and some of them have such a Hyper Sensitivity with there Hearing that I had to help them cope with what was going on, looking for solutions to help make there life more bearable.

For Exmaple:

My friend Danny (not his real name) is Autistic and one day when I was working with him this happened.

I was doing one to one with him in the community and we were standing outside his friends house waiting for him to come out. I had a hard day with the day job at a school I was working at helping other special needs people. It was a shit show with the other workers/employee's crazy levels of politics where there shouldn't be, manipulation and control outta the ying yang. It was driving me nuts and I was replaying the events of the day in my head. I was hurt and upset and I was mad at the out come, so I kept replaying the events and I kept getting more upset quietly not saying a word out loud, not wanting to disturb my friend Danny. Inside of my head was a different storry, I was shouting and cursing and freaking out into my self, quiet on the outside but inside really fn Loud!

"Stop yelling! Stop!" My friend yell while putting his hands over his ears.

"Danny, what's up?" I was very concerned, not yet catching on to what was going on with him because of me.

"Stop it, stop yelling!" He looked like it was hurting him.

"I wasn't yelling Dude!" I was puzzled.

"Oh I'm sorry." Danny now slumped over in relief.

"No, no my friend, I wasn't yelling out loud but I have been in my head. Did you hear all that?"

"Yes, no, oops I'm sorry." Tears came down his face.

"No Danny, it's me I'm sorry. I'm sorry I yelled so loud that it freaked you out."

"Its okay, never mind, I'm sorry."

And the night and other nights went even better and I was more careful of Danny's Extra Sensory Super Hyper Sensitive Hearing.

I'm surprised that I didn't catch on at that time with the similarities between Danny and I, but I didn't until the other night when talking to my friend.

I cannot go into Malls because the hum of the florescence lights and all those people talking and all the other white noise, escalators, elevators, and countless machines humming, aargh. I can only be in that environment for 1 hour and then I get crazy skittish.

The Olympics came to Vancouver BC and I  so wanted to go to the fun plaza and people watch but that many people is so overwhelming I get tired so fast.

On Buses, same thing occurs, Sky Trains, and where there is a group of people, it's all way to much but i push threw and cope, cause hey I'm a functional human being. LOL not! The solution I found, my coping mechanism is to put ear buds in my ears and play the music I love. I turn it up loud and I can be in mall's for hours (shopping with my Daughter lol) and walk among 10,000 people on the street in Olympic events. I can go on buses and any form of crowds without getting exhausted or messed up. I think its because like my friend Danny I can hear the unspoken noise in all the general public. I travel with my music every where and it calms me. I can drive long distances but it'll makes me so skittish and overwhelmed until I put a talking book into my CD player and then no problems I could drive for 8 hours without feeling exhausted.

Being Clairaudient is a thing that I knew about but didn't put it all together, (sometimes I can be really super genius guy and then kinda miss sometimes) until the other night. I live in an fairly quiet neighborhood in a rural town on the West Coast which I didn't realize until last night.  I prefer to be in the forest but that doesn't make me feel overwhelmed skittish, it does the opposite effect, it calms me and I'm rejuvenated, spirit filled, my central nervous quiet.

This doesn't even include spirits and them wanting to talk to me too OMG! But the music sure helps with that  too.

I have created a medicine circle around the house to deal with unwanted spirit static, I suspect I can hear them at night, the healthy ones who come by to  visit. I know this because my family hear's them too.  I can't have anything on at night especially clocks that tick as well as not being able to have any red lights from clocks, or dripping taps, or running toilets.  So,  I went to the dollar store and got 3$ ear buds, cut off the wires and wear them to sleep. It works.

I hate TV because of the commercials they drive me crazy, its the noise that happens with them not necessarily the content matter although that is mind numbing.

I wonder sometimes if we might be bombard by white noise to confuse and disorient us by forces governed by the world order, my best guess is  H.A.R.P. Its a theory and so far I don't have enough proof.

The other night with my friend, I realized again that I'm not as alone as I thought. Do you have the same things going on? Did you think it was only happening to you? What do you do to cope with this bombardment of white noise?

Are You Called To Save The World?

I thought it was just me wanting to save the world. No seriously it what I came here to do but I always thought it was just me. I'm writing this now because I had a conversation with a dear friend of mine in the Netherlands, just the other night.

She said that since she was young she'd always wanted to save the world, even though she was so young she didn't entirely know how or what to do. She just knew it was something that was calling her to do. Then she ask "Duende, do you know what I mean? Have you ever felt that way?"

Wow, wow, wow! I thought I was alone. I don't have normal goals like other folks or most folks: I'm not as interested in climbing a corporate ladder or get a house, and 6 figure wage. Having kids though was always super important to me because It's apart of continue with the legacy of life. So when my friend asked me this question about saving the world, it was a question that I never ever thought some one would ask me if I ever thought about it. Are you kidding me. I have been on this trail since I was really young, age 7 I think is when it all began for me.

My wise old dead friends (guides) asked me to figure out a "Revolution" that works. I thought about this and thought about this, for the next 20 years. Then it was a big "Ah ha moment" I don't think of it myself, I probably read it somewhere but I figure out a "Revolution" that works because mostly always "Revolutions" do not work. They start off with grandeous idea's and ideals with passionate people and then it is documented that most "Revolution's" that revolt from oppression of awful tyranny become worse when they gain power than the power they over threw. I finally found the answer: the only "Revolution" that works is when you take the "R" out of it and it stead of "Revolution" it turns into "Evolution" and that'll work.

That's the first I knew of what new I had to do. Most people think that this has got to be the most crazy thing to do. Fuck it! I'm crazy, happily so. I'm doing it. This was my answer to my friend:

I have a connection with the "White Botherhood" or "The Warriors of the Light" strictly other world peoples, they are magical people who come down and assist me in the middle of the night around 2 or 3 oclock in the morning. I always know it was them because I (still happening) and wake up with my heart beating so fast, and feeling in the other world with  an heightened energy, it was over the roof.
I'd gone on my first "Vision Quest" and met 101 "White Robes" (with gold sashes around there waist). The first times I've met them in such numbers but before that I've seen them in 3's and 6's.

I'd just came back from a circle when everyone was talking about at end times and Captain Ashtar would come down and save only "144,00" people. I know humanity only to well and I know who'd be on that ship, all "A Type" personalities all Alpha all over the top and mostly probably the odds are that kindness was not going to be at the top of the most wanted list.

I turned to my other world friends "The White BotherHood" and asked if that name means that they were from a the "White Pointed Hat White Cape", cross burning guys?" They laughed and said, "Oh no Duende, no not at all." I smiled and sighed with big relief. "Okay here's my question?" They laughed again (in a good way), " Ask Little One" (thats what they call me)

"Who gets to go?"

"What?"

"At the end times, who gets to go?"

"Anyone with Hope in there heart."

"Even my special needs friend, that don't look so good, that most people have trouble looking at?"

"Yes even them."

"How many?"

"As many as you can touch."

"If you give me enough time, I'll touch the world. Does the whole world get to go?"

"Little One, if you can touch the whole world, then they get to go. "

"Okay, then I'll do it. "

"Yes Little One we think you will."

My friend sat there in silence for a long time and we knew we knew, something was going on.

That's my most crazy story, (well one of them, haha I've got many wonderous out there stories) and now what about you out there, readers? Have you, like my Netherlander friend and I, have you got this same calling? I always thought that I had this passion by my own self and yes I sometimes I think I'm delusional but I don't stop. I'll let people deal with climate change, and deal with recycling but for me, me, I'm here to deal with HOPE in the SOUL. That is my goal. Do you smell what I'm cooking! This is the core of me, of my being, everywhere I go, whatever I do, that's why I do this blog, to grow HOPE from the DEPTHS of my SOUL to YOURS.

As Soon As Enlightenment is Achieved, Life is Easy?

When I was thirty and beginning on my path of spiritual enlightenment would around for Mentors. People that had gone the distance and really done the work: The Dali Lama, Wayne Dyer and Desmond Tutu, Lady Dianna, Mother Teresa but I quickly realize that these folks were huge in the world media and what did I really know about them. The only things I really know about them is whatever there Media profiles were putting out about them and not they weren't amazing peoples I needed to know someone personally, someone who I could talk to, who didn't appear perfect and was more human because what did I know about these ICONS other than what I was being told. I was looking for a Mentor, someone I could talk to and be with. I found these people and some were Native Elders and others were my parents and friends of our family and some were children, oh and my special needs friends. What could I possibly learn from the special needs community? Tolerance, Acceptance and Empathy. They are and have always been the masters at this but I didn't come to this realization until way down the path of my journey into spiritual enlightenment.

I looked to my goal, which was to be at peace and at one with the universe. No stress with losta Bliss!
To walk graciously, humbly head bow, liken to a Monk helping people wherever I may go. In the  joy of spirit, in the knowing of being one with all things, all beings, creatures big and small, spiders and ants, even cockroaches!

I'd started my journey at the minute I was born but I didn't know this until I became enlightened haha.
So I began with learning on how to be a "Deep Trance Channel" and then the native path, doing vision quests (been on 5 of these, 3 of my own and 2 that I had facilitated) and sweats(at least 40 or more) and drumming and healing circles (countless of these) because it called to me. It doesn't matter which path you go down "They're many path through the forest to get you to the other side," this was the one calling to me. As I continued along my journey I have look and poked around many different belief modalities I even became a Steven Minister with the United Church (This is a counseling outreach program for support with people inside or outside of the Church who are experiencing loss of a loved one, potential depression leading to suicide, split family who were struggling etc.).

The difficulty I had with all these modalities is that everyone wants the Seer, The Healer, The Wiseman, The Prophet, quiet with head bowed in humility, like the Dali Lama! But I am a performer, and am loud, over the top, out outrageous, quick to laugh loudly and enjoy a good joke. So I was waking on a path to become the opposite to who I am? This all seem counter productive and in juxtaposition, it would seem to me to be cutting off my nose to despite my face. Crazy as it may seem I did try to fix myself into this world view of being spiritual. On my first vision quest I was told by creator that I wasn't a medicine man, or a shaman but a "Holy Man"! Aggrh WTF! That is not what I had gone on the vision quest for, I wanted spiritual quiet enlightenment what was I going to do being a "Holy Man"? People had trouble with me now, I was the total opposite to what that was! Or was I?
The words Holy Man is a big Hole to drop all the stereotypes into and become who you are not what the World perceives you SHOULD be. When you go on a vision quest you don't find out "Who You ARE Not", you find out "Who You ARE".

So now I'm almost 60 I've become enlightened and what have I found out: Life is hard, there are wonderful moments so cherish them and some times being spiritual sucks!! I started on my journey before enlightenment chopping wood and carry water and now that I am enlightened I chop wood and carry water. Or "It takes a lot of shit to make a great garden and I have a huge garden!!"

I help people everyday and absolutely practice random acting of kindness but am I rich? No. Do I struggle? Yes. Is life Still tough? Oh yes, however there is a joy of life in me that has been there my whole life (because it always has been,) its who I am but the only difference now is I know. Spiritual enlightenment is worth attaining but its not easy as it looks.

As Soon As Enlightenment is Achieved, Life is Easy? It's easier to be you.

It is Possible to KNOW the Unknown

Is it possible to “KNOW” the universe? Why of course you can. If we are a creation of creator, then we are a part of the creation are we not? Therefore, we KNOW all. Oh, but that would mean that we would become egocentric and power hungry and evil? Would it? No, of course, it wouldn’t but by the looking at most of our living and dead role models, people with great knowledge and power before us, we would naturally assume that it did. But it doesn’t.

Someone once said to me, “You don’t KNOW everything.” I answered, “You’re right I know little about math.” And then I smiled a knowing smile and said; “But I KNOW a whole lot about a lot of other things.” She thought for a moment then replied, “I’m sure you do.”

If we are a part of the creation, then it only stands to reason that all the answers to anything we need to KNOW already exists inside of us. The only way to access this information is to allow. Now allowing that’s the tough part. How do you allow yourself to KNOW especially when our society says: “You have to go to school for a very long time, spend a lot of money and then after years of being bored to death, then in only then will we give you a degree that says you KNOW things?” This seems to me to be an insane way to think.

It’s a machine that needs people to believe in this in order for it to keep functioning. I personally don’t. Even the New Age movement is breaking off into compartmentalized spiritual subsections of expertise and if you don’t study with the right teachers or go to the right vortexes to get enlightenment then you can’t be knowing or valid.

Here’s a simple trick, just to help to allow you be open to the possibilities and miracles that exist around you every day, which I’ve mention earlier in the book. Whenever you find yourself saying “I don’t KNOW,” to a question. I believe we do KNOW and we are taught at a young age that if we haven’t studied it or learnt it or were taught it or heard it from somewhere else then there is no way that we could “KNOW.” Whenever you say “I don’t KNOW,” ask yourself “but what if I did KNOW?” What would that mean to you? What is that you might fear of KNOWing? And if you do know the answer to things you are not supposed to be able to know about but you still do anyway the only time it gets scary is when you start looking for other people to believe in your KNOWing reality.

I guarantee the more you play this little mind twist game the more you will allow the knowing. (Hey, that’s too easy.) Who said it has to be hard? And here’s another news flash anyone who is trying to tell you that it has to be hard and you have to study volumes and volumes of books to KNOW the inner workings of spirit, they don’t KNOW. The hard part of KNOWing is allowing yourself to be all that you can be.

It’s all child’s play. (That does not mean to say that children aren’t seriously at work when they play). Have you notice how many more KNOWing children than KNOWing adults there are. Study children, they are closer to the universe, to the great KNOWing than anyone else. Keep the child alive inside of you and play with the KNOWing which in turn will allow you to be free of the “should's of life.”

Let me explain the “Should’s and Shouldn’ts of Life.”

I went to my nephew’s house for dinner and before he put the ham roast in the oven he chopped off the two ends and put it into a huge pan. I looked at him and asked why he was doing this? “I don’t know that’s the way mom always did it and that’s the way it should be done.” I went to my sisters and asked her why she did this with the ham before putting it in the oven? “I don’t know that’s the way our mother had always done it and that’s the way it should be done.” Then I decide to talk to my mother about why she cut the two ends off the ham roast and put it in the oven? “Oh, Duende’ that’s the way your grandmother always did it and that’s the way it should be done.” I finally paid a visit to my grandmother and asked her the question? “Grandmother,” I said, “you know when you have a ham roast and you cut off the two ends and put it into a pan why did you always do it that way?” She looked at me very puzzled and said, “Dear, back way back when you could only get one size pan and the ham roast wouldn’t fit because it was always so big so in order to get it to fit I had to cut the two ends off of it.”

You see that at one point in time, there are things that worked well for us as a society but as time goes by it doesn’t work for us anymore and instead of letting go and adapting to new concepts we still hold onto the old. This is the same for learning to KNOW more. It was a really good idea to get educated but now, “What you Should and Shouldn’t on how we have found knowledge may have gotten to ridged?”

Sit down somewhere and ask yourself “What if I did know?” And the first thing that comes to your head, no matter how wacky it is, will be the answer. Oh, and if you say that’s just my imagination well truthfully it is. Keep in mind that the imagination is the doorway to the Dreamtime and therefore also the doorway to “KNOWing.” The next thing you can ask yourself is “What does my imagination suggest is real?” If you are having difficulty still then ask yourself this final question, “What will it mean to me if I do KNOW?”

What if you did “KNOW” what would you be then? A medicine man, a shaman? No, it’s not it's probably the truth. We’re all the creation of creator, therefore, we are all creators. Now if you can believe this, imagine the realm of possibilities and miracles that could exist in our reality today.

It is possible, you can “KNOW.” Believe in yourself and step away from group mentality because they are absolutely frightened to death of knowing themselves.

“Heal thyself healer then you will heal others.”

How to Automatic Write

Automatic writing is a very safe process of acquiring in information from the other side/spirit worlds.

The first step is to find a quiet comfortable place in your house (table and chair) where you won't be disturbed. Then you'll need 2 good pens that flow easily and 2 unlined note books. Place booth note books open on the table(one on the right side and one on your left hand side) then turn the lights low, or even use a candle of light because you  will not need to see that well to write, as you'll be in an alter state through out the process. It's also easier for the spirits to enter the room if the light is not as bright. Place both pens down on the right and left opened note books.

Now I the next step is to bring your body into an ready state to begin. Meditation is ideal for this process. Meditate from 20min minimum to 60 min maximum. I always start with a pray of intention and when I say a pray I mean what ever suits you and who you are. I have a non-denominational prayer and it goes something like this:

"Oh Great Spirit, Grandmothers and Grandfarthers, Mother Earth, Farther Sky, Please help me to be clear and keep me in my heart and integrity in what am about to do today, bless me and watch over me as I begin to Automatic Write. Have my Ancestors come to look over me, in a good way. And ask the Angels and other spirits to come with ease and care with respect of who I am. Allow me to ask the questions and answer them easily and in a good way. Thankyou Creator."

Begin to Meditate by breathing 4 seconds in through the nose, 8 seconds out of the mouth, then 4 in through the nose (into the belly deep and long) hold for 7 seconds then 8 out through the mouth making a sounds as you do this. Repeat this breathing process another 3 times. You have brought your heart rate down and you're ready to meditate.

Try this basic how-to technique, adapted from Meditation for Dummies by Stephan Bodian:
  1. Sit comfortably on a cushion or a chair. Don't slouch, but your back doesn't need to be ramrod-straight either. At first, you may want to try sitting against a wall to support your back. Use extra pillows under your knees or anywhere else to make you comfortable.
  2. Try lying down, if sitting to meditate is unappealing. Miriam Austin, author of Meditation for Wimps, recommends lying on the floor with your calves and feet resting on a chair seat. You can always sit up later.
  3. Put on music, if that helps to calm you before beginning to meditate. Turn it off once you begin.
  4. Set a digital (non-ticking) timer. Start with five minutes and work your way up to 10, then 15, and eventually 20. It will probably take weeks or months to lengthen the time you practice. Try not to put yourself on a schedule. Whatever your pace, it's fine.
  5. Breathe normally through your nose, with your mouth closed. Your eyes can be open or closed. Focus on the breath moving in and out of your nostrils, or on the rise and fall of your belly.
  6. When you notice your mind wandering, bring it gently back to the breath. Be careful not to drift off; this will be tempting, especially if you're lying down. While shutting off your mind is not the goal of meditation, neither is judging the meditative process. No matter what feelings or thoughts you have, simply bring your focus back to the breath again. And again.
As with anything new, once you've tried meditation, you're bound to hit a snag or two. Here are six of the most common barriers to developing a regular meditation practice and how to get through them:

Meditation Problem: "My mind races."

Why it happens: That's the way your mind naturally works.
How to work with it: Try counting your breaths, or repeating a word or phrase (such as "peace" or "one") silently to yourself. "The practice of meditation is not about suppressing thought, but surpassing it. Observing your breath is one way to approach this," says Victor Davich, author of 8-Minute Meditation: Quiet Your Mind, Change Your Life. You may want to try a guided meditation to quiet your mind and develop your focus. (Also try these meditation apps for beginners to try all different types of guided meditation.)

Meditation Problem: "I fall asleep."

Why it happens: It's a natural response when you're relaxed.
How to work with it: If you tend to fall asleep, try sitting up while meditating. "It's normal to feel sluggish when we let go of daily concerns," says Sharon Salzberg, cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. "Remember to keep your spine straight, and try opening your eyes." Focus softly on a spot a few feet in front of you. (If you want to fall asleep, try this five-minute yoga meditation before bed.)

Meditation Problem: "I can't sit still."

Why it happens: Your body—and mind—are restless.
How to work with it: Try a walking meditation: Walk at your usual pace or slower, indoors or out. Synchronize the rhythm of your breathing with your steps. Gaze ahead calmly with your eyes lowered. Notice the contact of your feet with the ground. Focus on your breath and on walking. (Bonus: Health Benefits You Can Get from Walking Just 30 Minutes a Day)

Meditation Problem: My back (or knees or butt) hurts.

Why it happens: You may need to adjust your body, or you may just be tired or restless. Remember that it's fine to meditate sitting in a chair or lying down (as long as you don't fall asleep).
How to work with it: "Just sitting still is an enormous challenge for most of us," Bodian says. "If you're truly experiencing an urgent pain, move to a more stable position. But notice if it is just restlessness and if so, try to sit with it." You also may want to try a walking meditation.

Meditation Problem: I don't have time to meditate.

Why it happens: You're busy and feeling overwhelmed.
How to work with it: You can carve out the time. Really. Set your alarm clock to get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning or try meditating before bed instead of watching the late-night news, Bodian suggests. The most important thing is to meditate regularly—even if it's just for 10 minutes a day. Davich agrees: "All you need is time and consistency. Quite simply, meditation can help you become more aware and more present. And that makes life more enjoyable." (Related: How to Make Time for Self-Care)

Meditation Problem: I don't feel anything special.

Why it happens Your preconceived notions about what meditation is may be getting in your way.
How to work with it: Aim simply for increased awareness of your breath. Try to avoid unrealistic expectations that something monumental is going to occur. Bodian says, "In some ways, meditation is like building muscle. The repetitions with weights are not exactly exciting, but you know the ultimate goal is valuable." (You can also try these breath work techniques that act as a sort of meditation.)
When all else fails, "remember to have patience with yourself," says Salzberg.
Your experience of meditation is very personal. For some people, it is simply becoming aware of the thoughts that have always raced through their minds. For others, meditating is a feeling of intense concentration, and for others, it is a deeply relaxed yet highly alert state. The truth is, each meditator probably gets a taste of each of these states—and many others—in the course of a session.
The bottom line? No matter what you are feeling, you simply can't do it wrong.
Now you are ready to begin to automatic write.
1.) Pick up the pen on the right and place it on the open note blank note book and ask your question. One at a time. Then give yourself a minute and pick up the pen on the left side and answer the question. If you are a lefty then reverse the process and ask the question with your left and answer with the right.
2.) Keep your eyes soft focused
3.) Don't worry about how it looks, try not to judge your self, It'll impede your process.
4.) Try to stay away from absolutes ie: "When will I die?"

5.) Ask only 3 to 5 questions but if you find you're asking a ton and question that's okay but it will drain you. It's your responsibility to care and respect your self to manage your own experience. Be mindful.
6.) Really think about the question but don't really think hard about the answer, trust it will come to your left hand on its own.
7.) The right hand is this world and the left hand is the spirit world and vice versa left and right depending if you're a lefty. It'll work wonderfully either way.
8.) Have fun and try not to take yourself too seriously. The more fun you're having the more will be happening.
9.) Do this whole exercise for 20 min.
10.) Remember to use the breathing exercise I explained to exit  and ending your Automatic Writing Session. The Breathing I've taught you will open the door in to begin and closes it at the end.I always do this because it creates an opening, an indicator to all the spirits that I am ready to begin and tells everyone that I'm ending.

11.) Then read what the left hand has written, you may be very surprised!
Mostly remember if you don't succeed the first time try try try again. Practice, Practice, Practice. Think you'll do it 7 times before you decide if you want to keep on going or stop.

How To Always Get Back to Your Body When Astral Traveling

Shape Shifting/Blending with an assist from Mau Ching - Wise Old Dead Elder/Spirit Guide

I talked to Mau Ching I was extremely worried about going out into the Dreamtime without being able to get back.

I sat down took some slow deep breaths and enter a meditative state/the imagination/the Dreamtime and went to visit my friend in his boat. He was there waiting for me saying nothing until we got to the middle of the lake.

“Mau Ching?” I said nervously “If I go out into the Dreamtime how will I find my way back?”

Mau Ching smiles this sly smile and says, “Become Bird?”

“What?” I was expecting him to do something with me but it was becoming obvious to me really quickly that this, this was not on his agenda.

“Become Bird, smarty pantsa?”

“Who me?”

“Of course, you don’t see anyone else in dis boat do you, smarty pantsa?”

“Well no, but…”

“Become Bird!”

He made me jump so I became a white dove.

“Very good smarty pantsa. Now fly into sky.”

“But, all I wanted to know….”

“Fly into sky!”

I did as he asked and lifted into the sky but I was still confused.

“What do you see, smarty pantsa?”

“Well, I see you of course, and the boat and the….”

“Very good smarty pantsa. Go higher.”

I flew higher up into the sky.

“Do you still see me smarty pantsa?”

“Yes, I can still see you but…”

“Go higher.”

I did what he asked getting more and more agitated by the moment.

“What do you see?”

“You?”

“Fly higher still, way above the clouds smarty pantsa.”

I took off, flying, soaring, higher and higher until I began to enjoy the flight and forgot all about Mau Ching and my question.

“Smarty pantsa?”

“Yes,” I said in the midst of being very distracted gliding up into the warm air pockets. I was having so much fun!

“Can you see me smarty pantsa?”

“No.”

“Can you see the earth smarty pantsa?”

I nearly pooped myself at that point and almost dropped straight out of the sky. I’d been enjoying myself so much, I got so carried away that I’d totally forgotten to pay attention to the task at hand.

“NO!” I said panicking.

“What do you see smarty pantsa?”

“Nothing, just clouds and blue sky.”

“So, can you come back to earth?”

I had to really think about that one for a while.

“Well smarty pantsa?

“Well, of course, I can.”

“Why smarty pantsa?”

“Well, I’m a bird and birds always know where their home is no matter how far distance they fly. It’s innate, it’s instinct, it is a knowing that birds have and I am a bird.”

“Right smarty pantsa, you bird.”

Bingo, that was it. That was my first introduction to becoming the White Bird. There is more that I will talk about later in my book. A lot more.
